didn't sound bad? just... a filter.

i get wanting a good utility filter in 4 hp, but those jacks are TIGHT. pairing it with a Javelin, which i think it's intended for, needs... planning.

edit - ah yeah. that's what i didn't like about it. the extras are a good idea, but after patching it's hard to get to the knobs, let alone tiny little press buttons for switching between filter types and saturation/wavefolding selection.

The wave folder is the best part because it’s taken from the synchrodyne and it’s nuts.

You can probably get it fixed? Even if you had to pay, could sell and make something back?

Sold my DFAM about a week ago and was debating whether to pick up a Metropolis again or try out a Marbles and Tides2.

Then I saw Mutable released a dual filter and thought I might as well pick that up and see how it compares to QPAS.

So now I've got Blades incoming from DetMod! :)*

The CV control over everything looks nice. I really wish Stereo Dipole had the drive CV and filter type CV options. But I wish Blades could have the 4 filter options like Dipole. We'll see if I get curious enough. I don't know that I use filters enough. The new Joranalogue and Intellijel wave folders are probably more interesting to me...

i am glad the Blades holds zero interest for me.

i have a layout, i'm waiting on 3 overseas modules, i would very much like to stick with this plan.

Mutables are neat, but not for me. i hate having to remember button combinations and states by their LED color and HIDDEN STUFF. not my jam.

The blades has a lot of interest for me....

I don't think it's one with hidden modes or anything is it? I agree I don't like modules like that but this one looks pretty simple (have only looked at product page not watched demos yet)

SHE'LL FIND A WAY TO ADD IT.

i do not want or need it, but i'm sure after the inevitable and beautiful Loopop And Others videos drop of it in action i'll convince myself i DO want and/or need it, buy it, like it, sell it right after.

i have a Ritual Electronics Altar hitting tomorrow. pretty excited about that.

I'm pretty sure she's been pretty vocal about disliking hidden modes in her modules. Most of the recent Mutable modules don't have any hidden mode. Although, they do all have several normal modes, but those are usually pretty easy to figure out :idk:

for sure. i'm not hating on her loot, it's amazing. and what she's done for the popularity of modular is astounnnnnding. but even the Non Hidden Modes modules, tons of This Color Means This And This Color Means THIS LEDs. i remember Marbles being pretty well labeled, but it's just not my jam.

wooooot! have a Conductive Labs NDLR sequencer on the way. it's like... Faking Knowing Music Theory in a box.

has 4 outs. 1 is Drone, root note of whatever chord/key you've chosen. 2 is Pad, up to i think 16 note chords. then 2 "Motif" tracks, that are arpegiator like leads with mad options.

LAZY songwriting! WOOOOOOO!!

Weird, I was literally just asked about the NDLR by another forumite on here. It is in fact faking music knowledge in a box. It does have some weird limitations though. I ended up flipping mine for the KeyStep Pro

I am the least big fan of this, and there are definitely mutable (and other builders) modules I wouldn't get because of it, so I am totally on board with the criticism.

But I think plenty of the mutable stuff is really simple and easy to use with none/very little of that.
