SO much better. it's the perfect hybrid between wanting worthwhile protection but not being okay with lugging around that 82 lb monstrosity that is the PT hard case.

the PT soft case has no padding on the sides, the Mono has thick firm slabs. the PT has no padding on the top, the Mono has a really soft yet thick cushioned top. the PT has this decent sized carry pouch on top, but there's a thin piece of material between what's in their and your pedals. on the Mono the zippered yarea's the size of the case, there's a second zippered section for valuables inside, and a inch or so of foamies between the pouch and the tops of your pedals.

LOVE it. feel way safer. i wouldn't fly with it, but that's not an issue for me.
