I've got a Phat Phuk. They're voiced really nicely. I think you'd like the Phat Phuk B.

It is sad, and oh my god I didn't know there was video of any, thank you. I'm just realizing how tragic it is that that one's living life and wondering where its siblings and anyone else like it are, without knowing it's the last one anywhere. Damn, that took me down a bit, but it's amazing to have that phenomenon captured in motion, too. Yeah, I love my Dano copy's unique tone (even compared to other Danos, this one's longscale and most are short), but a little more warmth in its twang would be great along with driving the fuzz and all. I just wish I could try one first still, though

You're welcome.
As sad as animal extinctions are, it's just as sad when human cultures die out. The story of Ishi (the last Yahi) is equally heartbreaking.
Yeah, even though those Danelectro pickups are low output they sound great. A lot of online retailers have generous return policies. I'm sure you could buy a Phat Phuk B and return or exchange it if you don't like it.
The BAT Black Forest is also pretty good as a boost. I do some fingerpicking too and the Black Forest allows you to retain a lot of note definition at lower gain settings. I'm sure you'll find a boost you like.

I'll have to look that up, but I'm supposed to have been doing Psych homework forever now and can't afford a Wikipedia chain at the moment. There's a local band named Ishi who were great, I haven't heard them since the lineup change but they used to do a dark, murky, synthed out cover of Walk Like An Egyptian that was beyond belief. Yeah, this is the first bass I've bought with my own money and I'll never part with it, the nasal grunt turns into a nice growl when you solo the neck pickup. It's actually a replica of what Bob Reed played in The Trashmen, apparently. Damn, that one looks great for the money, though I want to wait on ss/bs Mountain Range if it ever comes out and see if it beats both of them. For now, though, I'll likely put Christmas money towards this
http://www.woundedpaw.com/catalog/produ ... cts_id=157 or a Hartke LH500 to play through the drummer's Behringer combo until I can get a cab. But probably the looper because it's everything I need right now and I could have some fun with it recording. If you put a delay in a loop and invert the phase, all that come out are the delays, the original note disappears. Guitarist has a Memory Boy. We ride

Deluxe memory boy, rather. He's my rolemodel for an eventual board with great, unique tone and crazy noises in equal measure

i have had a lot of pedals, but i sold them all, i only kept the crybaby and the oc-2 cuz i wanna build my own pedals. Im mainly interested in fuzz pedals, i got here from devi's site and its really good that theres a forum for fuzz faces

i listen a lot of music. my favourit genre nowadays is stoner sludgey stuff maybe because of the cold weather. I play in a trash metal band. its not really the band of my dreams but i like fast riffs and beer so it fits to my personality haha.

I love fuzzy boxes.
I have been playing guitar for almost 20 years now. In the 90's I got annoyed with all of the whiny music (that's how I felt at the time at least, now that I am older and more open minded i have found that some of it is quite good) that was played on the radio and MTV. Where were their balls? I started to listen and play older styles of music, particularly the blues. This made me happy for a while. Those old bluesmen were raw and unforgiving. Those guys from the early days of punk were raw and unforgiving as well. I liked that.
Problem is the blues can get kind-of boring when played a lot. The tones are always the same. Get an old Fender and turn it up. Everywhere I looked I saw aging white guy lawyers with ridiculously overpriced guitars and amps playing the same licks over and over again.
I got pissed again.
This isn't the Blues! The blues came from horrible places, desperation and expressed unreasonable hope. Not from a bunch of rich crackers wanking the same tired old licks on equipment that cost as much as my car. I couldn't stand it. I couldn't be one of these douchebag... could I? I wanted to get a raw tone. I wanted noise and feedback! I wanted my own style and sound. I found Dwarfcraft, Devi, 3xfx, Fuzzhugger, DBA and to many more to name. This is something those rich ass cracker lawyers can shove up their ass! This is true raw expressive tone! Fuzz makes me happy about playing guitar again.
I love fuzzy boxes.
