back in the 1980s kitchen work often had a couple of lines of cocaine as a perk, and a perk-up as well LOL

a sharp-ish e-mail to the pedal steel purchaser--pointing out multiple instruments of the same model as mine for $1000-1650 and expressing my dysphoria at her trying to renegotiate--appears to have done the trick. she now says she'll honor the original agreement. i'm still upset enough about it that i'll have to take a Klonopin to go to sleep, though.

OK, this necro-band trend in the UK has to die now. it was bad enough when they refloated Thin Lizzy with a new singer, but now i'm watching Isle of Wight and they've got fucking Big Country up there even though Stuart Adamson remains obduratey dead. i'm fucking disgusted.

I can't even imagine Big Country without Stuart Adamson.
They may as well just go back Pete Townshend or something.

seriously. it was just fucking WRONG. thankfully, they only showed one song...there was a brutal irony to the singer exhorting the crowd to sing "STAAAAAAAY ALIIIIIIIIIVE" on the chorus to "In A Big Country."

Agreed on both counts. Little did I know when I was liking the Thin Lizzy page on FB, it was the revamped version with some prepubescent facsimile of Lynott. So less that, and more this (even though the "this" will never happen again):

Had a bad day. Let things get to me; got emotional in what was supposed to be a project-review meeting. Was recommended that I go home and take a personal day, so I did.
Frustrated; blue collar in me just says to work and not complain or ever take a personal day; part of me needs it.

Skinned my knuckle last night putting clothes away in my dresser. THE ENTIRE FUCKING KNUCKLE.
And then I jumped in my fiance's bed this morning when I got to her house and one of the springs in her matress stabbed me in the knee cap super fucking deep

domestic hazards
we got this dope chair a while ago
old horsehair and burlap straps
on the bottom with those huge springs
it started to get kinda saggy few weeks ago
do you know hilow many of those little nails
ended up in my foot
before i kicked it to the curb
ALL OF THEM!!!
if my girl got one i woulda chucked it right away
but i endure cause she loves it so
its a sign though, a good one
ive been around the same chair
long enough for it to fall apart
i think i like my life

Shit. Feeling really guilty to even be stressing about work. On the one hand, I have a good job that enables me to take care of my parents and live fairly comfortably, have music as a hobby, etc. On the other hand, the frustration and unimportance of anything we do got to me, and they had to basically lead me out of the building and ask me to take some time off. Like, I don't want a job that has me on the edge of emotional breakdown all the time, and here I am. I feel like the dude from Visioneers that just might blow up if I have the wrong thought, although my "blowing up" would be landing me on meds or something.. And I just kinda want to be happy again but the weather is crappy and everyone I know has been distant and doesn't really know what's going on.
I'm gonna listen to some hippy music and stare at mandalas for a bit, because I don't know what is up with my life.

Go out side and get some crisp air too dude. I know sitting in doors all day seriously has me at the brink some days. No windows in my office at all.
