I heard there were a lot of issues with the PC launch. Hopefully they fix it

Its fine for some people.

I've read that i5 CPUs have a hard 5 second stutter fairly often.

Personally, I can open the launcher and hit play. Then it crashes. Tried some fixes and nothing has worked.

My copy should get here tomorrow, but I've got to finish Outer Worlds first. Might need to take a break in between too. Too many games lately

Lots of long cinematics, but it looks pretty cool.
It's too bad it won't be out until summer next year, for me, though.

Looks so fucking good and the hiking mechanics are actually kind of cathartic, watch your balance and plotting the right path. Plus, I really miss games with way too many cut scenes

I could do without the cutscenes, but I've been yearning for another well done open world game since I finished Watch Dogs 2.
Is the playable area just the entire US, or is it more like smaller regions that you fast travel between?

So whats the game about, cause the demos I've seen so far have just been post apocalypse fedex guy. Is it just running and delivering and not getting your ass kicked, or is there someting to the survival horror?

30+ Hours in Death Stranding now, bloody great. I have never played a console game that looks this beautiful, game soundtrack is great and they've essentially spliced the entire Low Roar discography in it for some reason. Kojima's writing surprisingly holds up well, even if it is kinda goofy. I'm about halfway through, but I did spent a lot of that time doing the meta gameplay where you help build infrastructures and signs that assists other players - like leaving ladders near cliffs, building roads and letting people know if there's nearby hotsprings. It's kinda like a more fleshed out Dark Souls in that way.

The gameplay loop of delivering packages efficiently without damaging them is super chill and cathartic, being someone that puts every open world game on easy because fighting enemies when you're trying to get somewhere else is super annoying and i'm glad that the fat has been skimmed. My only complaints are the UI is a little clunky and the very, occasional combat sequences aren't that great which sucks because MGSV's is amazing. It is a long game though, i'd love a 15 hour cut of the game because i'm only 50% finished.

Since there's really nowhere else this would go, this is super cool.

Quixel, the biggest/best realistic texture/asset company around is making their entire library free for UE4 users.
Basically, anyone can create games that look as good as modern AAA titles now using UE4. It's obviously a move by Epic to try to overtake Steam for high quality indie games, but I'm still pretty excited about it.

Cool indeed. I would have expected Epic to partner somehow with Allegorithmic since they've supported Substance materials in Unreal for a few years now. It is Adobe though so maybe wishful thinking. The Quixel stuff is easier to use/more accessible though so this is definitely a win for smaller devs and hobbyists. :joy:
