Messed around on Modulargrid some more during some downtime at work today and I think I figured out my potential plan:

Still not going to do anything crazy just yet; I definitely want to spend some more time with the Matriarch and Digitakt before making any decisions

GAS'ing for a Pittsburgh Lifeforms SV-1b......

Anyone try one?

Not sure why exactly?
Came across some cool videos and it sounded good.
Maybe because I lack a straight forward east coast voice in my rack.....
Potentially the black box semi-modular version to use away from my rack.....with SQ-1 sequencer. (young toddler and incoming baby)

though, I'm not sure how long I can be interested in sitting down with a sequencer and east coast voice. (since I'm mostly interested in random/self generating stuff so far)

I don't have a MIDI controller or touch pads either.
Am I understanding it correctly that you can't use the ARP feature without midi?
Is the keystep or beatstep a good midi input if I were to go for this?

sooooooo... might have an Iridium on the way.

i am SUPER happy with my rack. i was being stupid. i don't.... really.... like oscs in euro? i get frustrated keeping them in tune or how many pieces you need just to make a controlled fucking SOUND. ugh. and then doing anything polyphonic. UGH.

so. drums, sequencers, buncha buncha effects.

the Rytm for analog drums, A4 for 4 voice analog melodics, Erica DB01 for Fancy Time acid'y bass stuff, Iridium for everything digital can digitally do.

solid?

It is an aesthetic/10 case for sure.

Also looks VERY fun.

What do folks think about Mutable Stages? Starting to find it very attractive the more I look at it...

Also on a mutable note, I'm tempted to swap my 4xVCA for a new Veils because slidey slidey. Looks nice to use.

Let's hope this isn't the start of a dark path to $900 reverbs.

You're a hilarious human being. Or gremlin. Or goblin, or whatever you are, Denizen of Somewhere (citizen of nowhere).

I didn't really get a chance to play much over the weekend, but the more I think about it, the more I realize I couldn't sell the Matriarch.

Now I'm just gassing for some euro to pair with the Matriarch

I have the opposite problem - I can totally see a matriarch in my black friday future, even though I always end up selling moog stuff within a year. :picard:
