Uncle Grandfather wrote:i have two nieces and a nephew, and got them each a korg volca. i bought the twins each a korg monotribe last year. oh it was a good day indeed. made my year seeing how excited they were and anxious to get their little fingers all over em. good times, indeed. they are all so close they were swapping them around...i think the twins are 9 and their older sister is 11. they are way into music

You're a dope uncle
Finally home from family Christmas stuff. My family is great and I had a good time but I needed to smoke so bad.
Now I'm home alone with an ounce of weed, my Buddha vape, 3 Funeral Mist albums and my pedalboard is completely set up. Solid day.

Had some downtime in between Christmas parties/during guitar modding, so I watched The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly. Despite owning the (unbelievably awesome) soundtrack, I hadn't actually seen the whole thing until today.
Man, that movie is good. Like,
real good.

Kate and i are back together, mostly, so yesterday was nice. I'm trying ti get a fucking group of writers together to write some pop music that will sell. I want to sell out, then be an artist. I see it as the best path to take.
Hopefully i can get that going. I'm really sick of bands and shit falling apart on me.

It's 2AM and I've been playing through my headphone amp for about 5 hours, taking like four five minute breaks from time to time. such a bliss. today was a shitty day. my bass cab is busted and though it was like the shittiest cab when all 4 of the 10" speakers were intact, things got really bad when I broke half of them by pushing them with too much good stuff. went to practice space once again to try to play through it only to get disappointed. No volume, just fart city. not gonna do that mistake again. I'm gonna fry my amp eventually if I keep going back.
so, I've put in a deposit for a new cab (gonna invest as much as I can and get a Barefaced cab), but I'm afraid it's gonna take forever to get it.
after feeling really bummed at the practice spot, I took a bunch of pedals and my smaller board with me, and gotta say: it was the best decision I've made in a long time. I friggin' love P-Bass > Bluebeard > Randy's Revenge > Small Stone > BDPG and to the headphones. just blasting heavy riffs with heavy textures. this is my meditation. every worry in the world just melts and nothing matters anymore. it's just you and the distortion. I really, REALLY, need the cab, but this will do in the meantime. this will do.

Furries..... like. i don't have anything against them at ALL. and i see the appeal of some parts of Yiffing. animal play can be hawt.
but i had been spending SO much fucking time on 4chan one month and hadn't been around humans besides work and band stuff at all really. we played a show in SF, went to the Crepe Truck afterwards and in the line of about 40 people there were 4 or 5 raver dance kids, and each had either a half furry hat or a tail sticking out of their pockets.
i didn't even want to.
it was like the combined voice of 4chan took over my body just..... just HATE poured out.
"FUR FAAAAAAAAAAAGS. FUR FAGS BURN IN HELLLLLLLLL."
....... i felt like a very bad person. ended up buying them a crepe and cornering them to apologize. i kinda explained and they giggled and said thanks for the apology.
OOPSIES.

Good old 4chan. Accidentally saying stuff in public that you never would say is a reason I'm not on for a while.
