well, i didn't say i was opposed to boingy forks per se...i have a Judy fork on my Klein which is hella handy, especially after i fucked up my wrists in a rather spectacular wipe-out on Market Street at 6AM. but i keep it cranked almost all the way down so it doesn't compress when i pound the pedals. i just think the kind of long travel you see nowadays is absurd unless you're bombing downhill races.

Modern 120-140mm forks are the shit, even on a hard tail, when you're blasting through rock gardens and dropping off ledges.
FS bikes are amazing these days. You gotta go rent an Anthem or a Hanzo or a Stache and hit your local trails and just gliiiiiiiiiiiide over the rough stuff and one finger modulate the hydro discs.

Offset guitars are overrated.

well, that's the thing...i'm not about "blasting through," i'm about carefully picking my way through the hard bits. i'm just not aggressive that way.

i would much rather have a Strat with Jazzmaster PUs/switching than an actual Jazzmaster, which i find clumsy and over-heavy by comparison. it's just too much of an ass-pain to fit that shit into the Strat body...i don't have a router, y'know?

Can't say I've ever tried it, but I bet it'd sound way different, just due to the different body. Not gonna get all "toannnnn woods" or anything, but just saying it wouldn't be like "oh this sounds like a Jazzmaster now" if you just moved the PUs over. Prob would nonetheless sound pretty rad, though
Also my fave electric is probably a tele, but I will say that offsets have the best trem of any guitar, which happens to look stupid as fuck in any other body shape. Undeniably.

i rather liked that Tele with the JM pickups and vibrato, but not at its $1800 price point.

Best Beatles song - 'Badge ' by Cream
Best Beatles album - All Things Must Pass

Beatles singles > Beatles albums, especially after Rubber Soul. i'd listen to the Hey Jude singles comp 100 times rather than Sgt. Pepper's, and i grew up when the Beatles were a current thing.

It's an actual crime that Harrison had this kind of songwriting on hand and instead of using it, the Beatles kept putting filler bullshit on their records like half the White Album.

i know, right? instead of "Beware of Darkness" or "What Is Life," we get "Polythene Pam" and "Bungalow Bill"? it's worse than Bob Mould telling Grant "you'll never have more songs on a Hüsker Dü album than me," cos at least Mould wrote consistently well. can anyone deny that the best songs on Abbey Road were George's by a country mile?
