I love Donnie's rig.

I seriously need to add a cab to my stage rig and get a tube amp.

Image

This is what I was using to rehearse but the guitar cab beneath was my guitar players and he sold it and the 8x10 stay in the basement since it also doesn't belong to me.

Image

I'm actually going to stop rehearsing with the 8x10 and use just my stage rig so I can get closer to what I want in terms of EQ when I gig. Sooner or later I will add another cab. I'd be happy with a cheap 4x12 guitar cab to get by. I'm considering some sort of 2x15 (I don't think a single 15 would cut it), but I'd ultimately like to get another matching 4x10. I need to get a part time job while I'm working on my apprenticeship.

maybe I should get a bigger amp seeing as I am still playing and only have my 15w ashdown.

Dude, just troll CL until you find something you can afford. That's what I did. A lot.

...which brings me to the next subject, this sweet yard sale find.

I have absolutely no idea who made it. It really only has the name, "Model-6000", and I can't find any info on that. It still works just fine apart from the pots being slightly scratchy :joy:

The tremolo is pretty cool and to overdrive the amp you just have to look at the strings. It sounds surprisingly decent, though not very loud. It's a fun practice amp!

Also it weighs like five pounds and the back is made of cardboard, which is even ported for maximum bass response

It's around 2.667 or something. I'm not sure what ohm rating my 2X15 is. But, yeah. It knocks stuff around. One time we knocked lightbulbs out of the ceiling of the place we played at.

The red one is an Avatar 1X12. AND NO I DON'T HAVE A TRUCK. I drive an Xterra. I can fit one bass amp and myself in my car.
