Frats are bullshit and girls are nothing to lose sleep over. The other stuff...not as easy an answer.

I wish I had known in my teens and early 20's (I'm 31) that I should just relax and take life as it comes. Life is long, especially when you're a dude - there's no biological clock ticking and telling you that you need to get hitched and start popping out kids by X age. I graduated with an engineering degree with honors from a top 25 university at age 22, got a job with a Fortune 200 company right out of school, was married to my HS sweetheart and owned a big house by age 24...and grew to hate my life more and more with each passing year. When I turned 30, my marriage was falling apart, I had just gotten fired from my job, and even though I didn't know my next move in life, I was happier than I have been in years. A year and a half later, I'm still not sure what I'm going to do with myself, but I'm still happy.

Moral of the story: I thought when I was growing up that I had to have it all figured out by the time I graduated college. When I graduated, I was pretty sure that I did have it all figured out. But you don't, and I didn't.

I lost a lot of friends in the course of my divorce. In times of trouble, you find out who your real friends are. Hang in there, dude.

I'm a dropout living with my parents and working nights at a gas station off the insterstate. It's my night off and I'm pretty stoned. I'm pretty damn relaxed and happy right now. Listening to Sweet:

lol. I just finished watching all of 12 Oz. Mouse and my mind has been reduced to a jelly. I feel like I need to watch it like 20 more times, but in the back of my mind, I know I really won't make any more sense of it.

I am also eating chili(made from scratch by me, mofos) and drinking 7 and 7's. My mouth is constantly switching between spicy and whiskey.
