its so sappy but i love it so much

I've actually wondered if i would enjoy country from this era as i think i only really dislike kenny rogers and songs about tractors and bitches/ cowboy hats. I mean i like some wilco.....

Country/Western of the 50's, 60's is nothing like "Country" of today. Today's Country music is nothing more that generic pop-rock with southern accents and the occasional fiddle. John Mellencamp did it to death 30 years ago.

I enjoy some old country, like Patsy Cline, but it is just the corniest, whitest thing ever. Take it from me. Despite my Sly & the Family Stone avatar, I am very much a white person. I just can't stand seeing those old TV clips where the host comes on with a big old grin and says, "Well howdy folks! We've got us a right special treat for y'all tonight. These nice young boys came all the way Mobile Alabama, and they're fixin' to sing us a song. Now, without no further a-do here is Larry and the Lynch-Mob Boys."

"Why thank you very much. We are absolutely delighted to be here. Now, we're gonna sing a song that's real special. It's called 'Don't You Use My Water Fountain!'"

I must confess I could keep this going for a while. I even started writing the song in my head.

the weirdest thing is that i read that entire thing in a country accent in my head
made me giggle

^that was entirely how I meant it to be read, with a southern accent and a big hokey smile.

I just realized unownunown's user name isn't unknownunknown.

Lately I've been thinking I have laziness induced dyslexia where I can't be bothered to read whole sentences, so I just pick out a couple of words, out of order, and just assume what it says based on them.

I've never had strawberry rhubarb pie, though I want to.

Someone make me some. Then, let me eat it.

I will pay you in song.

I don't know how to describe it. Kinda tartish, but very slightly bitter. It's been a while, so my recollection is a little foggy.

My old roommate did something where he got like a rhubarb juice(I can't remember how he did that) and mixed it with vodka. 'Twas delicious.

That's the way I read. It usually works quite well. I did have some trouble reading Heidegger like that though.

I really really like shitting too.

Rhubarb = looks like red celery.

Red = blood.

Bleeding = death.

Rhubarb = death celery = I want to eat it in a pie.

It's science.

How can you make a better impression than having You're a Woman I'm a Machine as your avatar? I had that as mine originally until somebody pm'd me and said somebody else was using it, so I settled for good old Sly & The Family Stone. The pm's can be really helpful.

Confession: I wrote that last sentence strictly for the purpose of putting PMS in my post.

I love Death From Above and I love that album cover.

I have never seen facebook or jersey shore.

My fridge and little amp reek of weed. Because that's where I keep my weed.
