The thing that drives me crazy in Heroes of the Storm is it's like no one playing understands basic moba mechanics - positioning, map awareness, etc.

This reminds me of the time jfrey invited me to play dota and I spent the whole time going "WHERE AM I" "WHERE ARE YOU". Then he never asked me to play again.

Well, I bought a PS4. Not because of E3, it just came with Bloodborne and Ground Zeroes and I needed a Bluray player.

Honestly, the console looks really cool.

EDIT:
I enjoy Bloodborne a lot more than I do Souls. I am just terrible at these games, 120h at Witcher makes it slightly less worse.

LOL yeah Dota is hard to play casually, it's really hard and has a steep learning curve, once you have a good grasp of the game you'll never want to play with new players ever again.

See man i kind get the appeal of these games. Bloodbourne for me is more approachable than demons souls or dark souls were and i find myself improving in these little minute ways but in the end i just don't know if i give enough of a shit to keep at it. Im really not an action games guy.

Pretty much my thoughts entirely, It's just that Bloodborne always ramps higher and higher and then higher. It's not that I like feeling OP, I just like having a pay off to learning the steep difficulty curve some games have. I can see myself getting a decent 5 hour playtime, I've watched a playthrough of the game. I'm playing it because the aesthetics and enemy design is so fucked up.

Working my way through the games that were bundled with my PS4. Honestly, Last Of Us is kind of boring me to tears. I'm maybe 3-4 hours in. Keep going?

It gets better as you level up.

I think there is definitely payoff to sticking with souls games, it just isn't the same kind of payoff as some other RPG-like games. Even at the level cap, you might get killed by a bunch of low level enemies that gang up on you, but then again, if you play until you're good at it, you can dodge and parry every enemy without taking hits. And the feeling of finally learning the movements and patterns that allow you to do that are enough of a payoff for me to keep playing. I really enjoy finding a new area and dying tons of times, until I put on my big boy pants and learn what I'm doing wrong.

As for Last of Us, if you don't enjoy it, it doesn't really change in play style all that much throughout the game, other than you encounter more enemies. There are some awesome battles once you build up an arsenal of rifles and shit, but I'd say if you don't like it now you probably won't like it that much more later. I found the story and various plot devices to be really enjoyable on the first play through, but it didn't have much replay value for me.

I love TLoU as a tribute to Resident Evil/Survivor Horror, the videogamey, Oscar bait parts are just a bit played. I'll get through it.

Still have enough time to sink into a big RPG, might try DA:I again.

E3 was pretty impressive this year. I haven't been looking forward to so many games in a long time. Dark Souls 3 will be a day 1 buy, and I know I'll end up with XCOM, Fallout, and Deus Ex eventually. Never been a big fan of Final Fantasy after 6, but if they do the VII remake right then I could see myself getting it too :joy:

That Metroid spinoff game though, ugh

Pulled my Dreamcast out of storage and started replaying Shenmue today. Controls are clunkier than I remembered, but man do I love this game.

Got Endless Legend the other day. Seems like a good game with a not great interface.

TLoU is pretty sweet. But you have to use all the weapons you have in your arsenal to make it better. I played on PS3 and didn't really care for it, but got it for PS4 and found that I like it alot more if I'm constantly crafting and using the consumable weapons.

I still have my Xbox copy of 2, thankfully. I've never tried it on my 360, but I've read that it will work fine. I've wanted to buy a UK copy of 2 for the Dreamcast for years now but could never justify the money. Of course prices have skyrocketed since the announcement of 3.
