Thanks for the advice guys, I've been pushing hard through my pa mixer to get a bit of crunch and it sounds ok. My friend has a color box that I'm going to borrow for a while and try out. If that doesnt do it for me I'll look into the Tafm or some other dirt with a blend of the wet and dry signals

Ah yeah, Colour Box could be fun—I'm gonna have to try that with mine sometime soon. I think that fizzy sort of preamp gain could sound really cool with an acoustic, but also could be cool to just use the C Box as a sort of fattener/booster, right before it breaks into fizz.

Haven't ran acoustics into dirt in forever, but I think I last used a year 4545 which was batshitcrazyawesome
