Never had an issue with USPS. Now that everything comes with tracking no matter what, it's a tiny bit harder for them to completely fuck every single thing up

I've only had USP and FedEx lose packages on me, never USPS.Strange Tales wrote:Never had an issue with USPS. Now that everything comes with tracking no matter what, it's a tiny bit harder for them to completely fuck every single thing up

Right, looks like I'll do the UK/EU one first, then move onto the USA.
I'll set the end entry date for 9pm on Sunday (UK time) so please post, or PM me (regardless of where you are) if you're interested in taking part.

PM'd UK/EU participants.
Hopefully should get this started in the next couple of days.
If all goes well, I'll do the USA one, which should get going around the middle of August.

Ok kids, just about to pack the box up to post to the next guy. Had a fun time with them today playing with a drummer and a guy playing organs....organist? So the Orpheum is a little box of garage trash heaven. Plenty of spitting grit when its pushed and surprisingly good with chords. Also running the organ through it was a lorra lorra laughs RIP Cilla.
I've got a lot of love for fuzz faces so I've got a lot of love for the maypole. Tons of great sounds in there.
The fy1 was a bit much for me but I get the feeling it could kill on bass.

Just noticed this. I'm from Australia not USA. But if an Aussie tourbox is on the agenda I'd definitely be into it.Snufkino wrote:USA is looking likely...

I'll PM everyone shortly. In the mean time, what's the best US postage service to use?
EDIT: No idea what's wrong with my brain today...
UK/EU could do with one or two more, though this might be fine...

Got the box in today, I've had a bit of a play around.
Orpheum is full of great trashy garage tones, can get cool and scrambly in some settings too.
The Maypole is a really nice fuzz face, but the tone switch is awesome, with that engaged it really tightens the sound up and lets you riff out a bit better on the lower strings. Very cool take on the ff,.
FY-1 I haven't got to work for me yet, everything I've tried has been painfully trebly so far, maybe it's the guitar and amp...
So far, enjoying trying them out and I'm looking forward to giving them a go on bass when I get a chance. They're all really well made and nice looking pedals for sure.

Yes, it's really bright. I'm interested to hear people's comments on how the FY-1 sounds on bass. I only have a baritone but it did sound good on the low notes. Nice and 'even' without becoming mushy like other fuzz circuits would.

Having tried them all on bass now, the FY-1 sounds pretty cool. Loses a bit of low end on the bottom strings, but it's a nice fuzz sound, really cutting. Maypole sounds nice! Surprisingly solid low end on that one, could actually see myself using something like that on bass. The Orpheum works surprisingly nicely as a light bass overdrive with the gain(I think?) knob below about 11 o' clock. Pretty cool.

Quick update: The box should be on it's way to Europe next week, and so the USA one will get up and running by September.
