Yep. I'm just not hearing anything special there. And demos of most delays make me feel like I need/want them.
I think it sounds good, if a little sterile. It is jam-packed with features, though (some of which - like tap tempo - I could care less about)...
My decision is between this, Maude and the Echo Dream...
But that Knuckle Dragger. Need to check into that more. I listened to the demo just to get a handle on what it was, and now I am very interested.
Same here...
great choices. the maude/ed2 are my favorite 'analog' style delays. not too sure about the bellwether, but it seems fucking awesome from the demos.
some things I wish I knew when I was delay hunting:
the ed2 is actually pt2399 based while the meet maude utilizes BBDs, so the meet maude can (will?) produce clock noise at the 'longer' settings. it was honestly pretty bad for me until I figured how to dial it out with my amp, but there's apparently an internal trim pot for that. the warble is really fluid and can come across quite organic.. compressing the delays is also a neat option. the way the tone/feedback interact is pretty unique as well, you can dial it so it goes into crazy oscillation but as soon as you strike a note it will subside then return as your note rings out. I love that, but if you have it set up that way you'll get a squeal/pop as you engage the pedal. and of course, it can take an expression pedal/has a feedback loop.
what I like about the ED2 is that you have full control over the warble. so much so it almost makes it a different beast. you also have about twice as much delay (if that's yr thing) and the oscillations are NUTS. fucking foundation trembling. the best part of this pedal is the fuzz though, imo. helps me get that PERFECT mix between delays, which has always been my problem (meet maude also does this with the volume/mix controls, but ed2 offers more flexibility between the delay/master/fuzz controls) the delay might be a tad bright for some now that I think about it. I personally love where it sits though.
hope this wasn't redundant
