Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
gonna get conky in my head asap
good things happening guys
the pendulum is in the right spot
for some not so much
but ehe do our best to get everyone though
wanted to say somewhere i hit 6000 posts
i remember skip saying something back in 2012
"dude has 1000 posts, all typed on an iPod"
i graduated from my iPod as only form of personal computer
to pod,phone,pad,and book
and appreciate all your help in the last 5 years
everyone has been so awesome
some have gone way beyond internet stranger stuff
ILF was tight when i first got on here
i almost felt like outsider
DR didn't exist yet
so our heavy talk was done with the fender tweed talk
and it worked,we all got along
i do ilfnem cause i hate the internet
i only like this place
ilfnem is a day onILF,ctually playing music, with no computers
ILF helped me through a really tough time in my life
damn,didn't wanna go there
anyway I've made some actual real life friends
and i would protect this place to my death
i got 22 ILFERS to meet before that happens though
BTW someone needs to put me and my girl up in norway someday
love you guys
thanks

Also, what are peoples thoughts on orange or100?
I haven't played through one but I've heard one used. Honestly it sounded like a slightly revoiced rockerverb, very similar to your CR120, but ya know tube.
Well I know what I'm doing tonight.conky wrote:Our full length is up for streaming and preorder.

From what I can gather it is nothing like the old OR amps. Instead it is the or15 for the dirty channel and a reworked thunderverb channel for the clean.samzadgan wrote:Sounds pretty fat on the records man.christianatl wrote:Yeah, but it's like 13k.

Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
Man I wish I could come out for ILFnem. Some day.
Yous guyz is all da bess.
We're ready to go with this album thing. The artist I want has been having some issues and disappeared for a bit after we negotiated and discussed the cover art. He's surfaced, and I'll follow through with the guy, but I am realizing that if we wait on him it might be a very long time, and using the result for the next one might be a better way to go if we want this out this year.
Any suggestions on artists who will definitely have good practices to match their talent? We are not looking for a freebie, but would like to keep it around $200 or less, that's negotiable depending on the artist and we'd like to be able to budget more, but we're fucking musicians! We has no monies!
I know there is no dearth of talent here and it'd be cool to have ilf produced art on the cover. I'm thinking the realistic fantasy art type of style is what I am leaning towards.

I feel you on being broke, but $200 ain't gonna go far if you want something hand drawn/painted and in color. Go with black and white and you might be able to swing it.AxAxSxS wrote:Man I wish I could come out for ILFnem. Some day.

Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
ballpark for some local artists. I have no idea what numbers are appropriate. Not really an art collector. Well, unless it's functional. But I do appreciate it, and would want to pay an artist what they think they are worth. We likely can't afford a big name artist, it'd be awesome, and potentially doable if they were down, but this will be the first release by a relatively unknown band from Tacoma Wa, I kinda doubt we can swing a John Dyer Baizley cover.
I also don't want to be one of these jerks begging for a handout because my art is so much more important than everyone else's. So if you guys have any guidance on the correct way to go about this, I'd love to hear it.
Heavy, I love realism mixed in with psychedelic or celestial imagery, a great idea that is relatively poorly rendered can be so much more interesting than a perfectly rendered boring subject, so I guess it's relative and subjective? I
I'd love to take a look at your stuff, with apologies if you have shared it here before, hard to keep track of all the rad shit everyone is up to in here.

I know not everyone here does social media, but I've got a facebook page if you want to hit that up. If that's not doable, I can definitely PM you image links without the need to actually use facebook.
The link is question is here. Keep in mind some of the photos aren't things I've done. You should be able to tell though. It's been a little while since I've had a real project, and from what you've told me, we're pretty close to the same wavelength. Let me know what you think!

Thanks for the love dudes. Too much to multi quote but I want to buy a beer for alla you guys who preordered or just even listened to it so far.
Ax, hit up Matt from my band (t0thesun). He does all of our stuff and did the Dunwich HM2 kit as well as my buddies in Machinist!'s new album that's coming out on Eulogy. He's pretty fast when it comes to whipping up something.
