Powering A Zoom CDR Off A PP2+
So I've been debating buying a Zoom CDR-70, but I'm confused as to how I'm supposed to power it with my PP2+. I've looked online and the only thing I found was Voodoo Labs suggesting a voltage doubler, but that wouldn't supply the right amount of current to the pedal just an increased voltage. Does anyone here power a CDR or other Mutlistomp off their PP2+, and how do you do it?

i power the CDR w/ a 1 spot. why wouldn't it work w/ a PP2+? (not familiar w/ that PSU, sorry if this is obvious).

There's a current draw issue. It needs DC9V 500mA Centre Negative. I'm mostly just confused by Voodoo Labs' response to the same question on their forums.

oh gotcha...yea thats weird. voltage doubling doesn't sound like what u want at all. in fact it sounds like u might fry the pedal if u do this.

Yeah, that's what I figured. I'm assuming a current doubler cable would be the thing I need. Can anyone confirm this?

confirmed
you don't need a voltage doubler
get a current doubler
double power outputs 5 and 6 on the pp2+

CDR's mA draw is more like ~125 in mono, ~145 in stereo

yeah the cdr actually does pretty good on AA batteries too. It doesn't appear to draw more than 200ma.
so much gear...

Thanks guys! I pulled the trigger and ordered one along with the current doubler just to be safe. I've read a few posts and it seems like it would be fine without the doubler but I'm not taking any chances on this one.
