I have a soft spot for Schecters and I'm hearing nothing bad about those Black Winter pickups, so...

SO pumped on it. But it's gotta weigh 17 pounds. Swamp ash, my ass...
Dude! Awesome! Are you finishing the body or leaving it as is? Is it everything you had hoped it would be? What did you end up going for in the bridge position?
My Jazzmaster is up there as well in terms of weight. But I love it!

They're REALLY aggressive with some snarl.
Sounds awesome when going straight into a high gain head and/or dirt but not the best for low headroom pedals or playing clean.... but who da fuck is gonna play clean with this

The actually guitar plays fantastic though. Awesome neck and sick action.

Thanks for the review on those pickups. They seem awesome. I know Ancient Astro had a set in one of his guitars but I never got to play it. They sound like they are awesome though for that sort of stuff!

Thanks man. Body has probably about ~8 coats of Tru Oil on, so leaving as is. Bridge is a Zhangbucker Paul Bunyan. Sounds great to me. Definitely the twangy tele tone I wanted, but hotter. Neck is Mean 90 which I love, especially for the price. Eventually, I'll get a new neck. This was my take on the natural Telebration, so I'll get a maple/b&b neck at some point when I have money.

Warmoth. It looks way better in person, and way better than I was expecting. It was also like $70, so it better look good. I'm kinda toying with getting a gold guard.

In real life it is definitely "nebulous." I ordered a Warmoth tort guard before and it was kinda shitty so I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this one.

SG got some new shoes. BK pig 90's are the truth, clean to mean like a dream. Still can't believe I spent $300 on pickups.
