Re: The Video Game thread
I'm not into Souls/Bloodbourne and I don't typically like GTA.
I want a new game to bite into, I only seem to finish the games I've already played half a dozen times. Might try GTAV again, even if I spend 8 hours aimlessly wandering around it's worth it
EDIT:

Score!
The first two MGS games remade in comic form. Finally tracked it down

Back to Bloodborne. Finally cleared Central Yharnam and got the shortcuts open.
Got some levels under my belt. Now to try out the Cleric Beast again.

I love this game so much. It's fucking awesome. I'm at the very last boss, but I've got some loose ends to tie up with NPC questlines and I wanna make sure I hit everything I can before I hit NG+
Deeper level Chalice Dungeons are fucking brutal in the best way possible.

Finally playing the Dark Souls 2 DLCs and I give all 3 of them a collective 0/10. Level design is pretty on point and fun, but holy shit those bosses could not be more uninspired, boring, and in every single way: terrible. Just fucking dreadful. My friend and I aren't even going to bother running them anymore.

Pillars of Eternity is pretty rad, but I'm really partial to the old Obsidian games so this is no doubt horribly biased.

Yeah the bosses in the first two DLCs were pretty unimaginative. More dragons and Smelter Demons.....I'd still give them at least a 7/10 though. They're the only actually challenging things I've experienced in NG+ and the level design is pretty awesome. Plus the bosses are pretty good in the last DLC

Eh, the last DLC is just as bad, but I'm being really whiny giving it a 0/10

I find all of the bosses less challenging, and just more a complete dicking on caster builds. Miracles got nerfed to uselessness already, and every single boss so far in the DLC has hyper resistances to every single type of magic. And then they just have an insane amount of health compared to other bosses. All the DLCs definitely favor the sword and board builds, a lot more than I usually see. I'm also finding that most of the bosses targeting is super fucking buggy, where they'll just launch across the room at any given moment without a hint of it coming.
