Re: What is in the post? The thread of and for GAS!
I always thought of BBD as analog but from Skreddy's website:
Strictly speaking, BBD chips are a hybrid of analog and digital. They are analog along the amplitude axis, and digital along the time axis.
The sampling circuit is "active" or "on" only at the precise moment when it's taking a sample, which is when it gets a clock pulse. In between clock pulses it's "off"; i.e., it's completely ignoring whatever the analog signal is doing on the input.
In order to be truly analog, the chip would have to be continuously recording the incoming analog signal in both time and amplitude, which is not what the BBD chip is doing.

Soo stoked for that entire haul!
Some well needed fuzzy additions. Kinda sad to see the cyber psychic go though

I got a good deal because it needs some love, but after they played the Mega Man 2 theme and the Terminator end music in the patch demo I was watching I had no choice but to bring it home.

Those were always awesome. I used to go mess around with one and a fizmo at my local music shop. They had them both listed at 1k each (15 years ago) which was really high. They were a lot of fun and I always carry some ensoniq fondness inside.

I have the worst Gizmo gas but they don't come up much and when they do they're way more than I want to spend!
This thing just kind of fell in my lap, and I've always wanted to try one, so I'm pretty stoked. Apparently the keyboard has some issues, but everything else works fine so if I can't get it sorted I am going to mod it into a desktop synth.

It will be missed, but after I got the Thujone, I've hardly used it. It deserves a loving home.
