I've been on a lovely trip to Oslo and Sweden this week, just got back from a nighttime snowmobile trip with the Sami near Kiruna, it was great fun, beautiful and we caught the northern lights! Wonderful way to end the holiday.

Decided today that I was dropping my Electricity and Magnetism course.
My parents were 100% supportive of my decision, so that was cool.
Not having this class will make my life a lot easier this semester.

Good on you man, lower that stress coefficient. You a physics major? E&M was balls hard.
All that shit about matrices of differential equations and probability curves all kind of smears together for me.
Wish now I would have been able to take more time with the denser material.

Show last night went surprisingly well. It was the most legit "venue" I've ever played, in that we got a percentage of bar sales. $45 for playing an out-of-practice noise/drone/doom set to a bar half-filled with people who looked like they'd never heard of it before is pretty cool. I played much better than I anticipated, but some of it did feel a bit forced. Still cool.

Also my paycheck is mysteriously something like $200 larger than normal. Which I am totally fine with.

23 minutes of straight recording. It feels so great to finally start making progress with my music goals, I've been so bummed about it all week.
Need to stop thinking in such short spans of time. Steady progress.

Edit: but wait, my mixer is broken. Awesome. Awful interference/blip noisesthroughout the recording. I haven't used the main outs on thethis mixer before, but of course, they're fucked. And traded for it so long ago that informng the trader wouldnt do me any good. Shitty shitty shitty.
