Also this in regards to one knob anything. I fucking love stuff I can't mess up because I play with the same settings almost always in a band setting and I'm way rougher with my gear than I should/mean to be

Yes you are..... but your also on par for 80-90% of the musicians ive shared the stage with.

No, I've gigged enough for that... definitely part of the reason I hate gigging. And songs.

This isn't really related to Nick's pedals at all, though. Just a general statement.
Helps builders fit more options into smaller/cheaper enclosures too. Less drilling, less wiring, etc...
All about condensing down full size versions of each pedal into smaller versions without dropping all of the features. I am also still charging a bit of money for each of them, for example most of BATs full size full feature pedals sell for as much as I am selling a single knob pedal for.
I have a Cthulhu fuzz, which is one knob, and a Cthulhu Fuzz Deluxe, which has every conceivable control you could want and a couple extra. I use and like both, for different purposes. I think the core value of these one knob pedals is getting a high quality stomp box with an already very definitive tone that's bare bones and compact. You can tweak them a bit to taste, but it's not meant for someone that wants to change their settings every time they play and dial it in all the time. The good news is, Nick makes pedals that are great for that and have the same essential tones. So it's more about having a version for different tastes. One knob versions, standard versions, deluxe versions. They all have a really solid foundation, tone wise. So if you dig the tone you can have the control amount to your preference, but the other version get much bigger. My CFD is HUGE on my pedalboard.

I've been pretty vocal about my love for trim pots. Consistency is a good thing in my book. And if you do want to change it,,c'mon.... 4 screws.
