So classy. I wonder if it comes in shell pink.

Re: Sunday GAS Party(R.I.P. WINTER)
I have not seen any demos, i have seen seriously good ones with piezo cells but I do not know how good this one works. I stumbled accross it yesterday as I was hunting down idea of instruments using a treadle wheel (a-la glass harmonica) because I'm thinking of building a treadle wheel powered hurdy gurdy thing just to have an electro-acoustic drone - a cross between a spinning wheel and a rudimentary hurdy gurdy.
Anyway you know how it goes, you start going through google images and you discover new stuff - eventually stumbled accross the Gloggomobil which led me in a different direction (wheel activates little hammer on blades) and that's when I found this kalimba kaster as the builder calls them (Dich Studios)
I guess he could make a pink one! He has not made any over the past 2 years or at least sold any on Etsy apparently, but I have seen orange, lime green, teal, walnut and even makore & alder for the coffee table lovers who like to flash some wood!

mmmph that jazzmaster body is gorgeous. I love the black on dark wood aesthetic.

The OP-2 is only a matter of time, IMHO. I'll get a cheap OP-1 once that happens. Or not, my ipad is entertaining me enough.

I just can't make myself go that route.

Did you have a single coil on it like the one pictured? If so how did it sound?
fuzz on kalimba sounds interesting:
