I can not for the life of me understand why hardtail jaguars and jazzmasters even exist in the firstplace.
Is there some hardtail thing I simply dont understand?

It's a Parker Fly! It's fucking awesome! It's made of the future! Look at it flying through the air like a god damn space ship!
I'm probably now the least talented player to ever own a parker, upper fret access is amazing but what do you do up there? Open D one finger chords all day for me!!!!
Nice Fly! A first series one as well, with the tension wheel.

I'm Thinking ease of setup and tuning stability. Also having that solid connection to the guitar helps increase resonance and sustain. I love offset guitars and I'm not really a big fan of vibrato equipped guitars so my Squier Jag hardtail just fits me and the way I play. I'm sure other people have differing opinions.

Because it's a cool body shape, regardless of bridge setup? It's like Teles without the traditional bridge. It's still a cool body shape. So what if it doesn't fit with tradition? That said, I love JM tremolos. I could definitely see having one without though, for the simplicity. Hardtails have their own merits. At the same time, people who bitch about JM bridge instability and such are really overreacting.

Two things:
1. Wow. That's Antigua? That looks more golden brown in that photo. Either way, looking sharp!
2. I had no idea Parker Flys (flies?) were that thin. That is fucking crazy shit.

It plays so nicely! I'm contemplating putting a toggle switch with a resistor to drop down to 250k if I want to. But I'm not sure, I kind of like the simplicity!
This is something I haven't really understood - say you have a pot on full volume, there shouldn't be any difference between pot values should there? If I wire a pickup straight to the input jack (which I'm considering doing because volume knobs are the enemy) am I going to cause my ears to bleed? And you know, not in the good way?

You are right of course. In my head I cant really seperate jazzmaster/jaguar and tremolos, it has just always been such a big part of the appeal for me.
A bit old fashioned when it comes to offsets. Sorry for being rude though.

If you put it in parallel on the pot it'll drop the value of the potentiometers Max value down. If you just attached it to one side it would limit the volume instead!

Re: Let's see your GUITAR!
I had this in a very good trade two days ago:

05 CIJ Mustang
I used to hate stripes on guitars, now I'm not sure!!!
Anyway, I'm digging this guitar a lot, like a loOOOOOooooot...
I had a spare Staytrem and it's on the Mustang now, it's a perfect little guitar

I've only seen a few orange with red comp stripe mustangs, but I've always thought it's a great color combo. Looks great, dude!
