^^^^ Season 2 sucks, otherwise it was cool imo.
I finished Shinsekai Yori. It was good, and not the best anime ever. It was good.

I wouldn't say that it sucks, but it sure was a huge letdown after s1.
Watched Bakemonogatari. Loved it. Wondering if Nisemonogatari is worth my time.

It is, for it teaches you the importance of brushing your teeth. (All of Monogatari is very worth it)

Haha, awesome. Kinda bummed it wasn't news of the fourth movie, though.

Tried watching WataMote, got three episodes in. Nope. I don't need that show in my life. Serious question, is it supposed to be funny? I have a fairly morbid sense of humour and still just found it pretty painful to watch.

fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck so much new stuff to keep up with now
watched DanMachi, Shokugeki no Souma, Re-Kan!, Oregairu S2, and Owari no Seraph so far
haven't immediately dropped anything in disgust yet..
there seems to be a lot less magic high school shows this season too..
things are looking good..

i dunno if this is an unpopular opinion but i kind of prefer when shows end up running for one or two seasons max. negates the possibility of it being run into the ground.
although if Monogatari series got cancelled before all the novels were adapted i'd lose my shit.

Re: ILF Anime Thread OK321LETSJAMBADABADABADABADABAAAAH!!!!!
No, I definitely agree. I hate it when a good series only gets a 12 episode season and they leave it on a cliff hanger though. Makes me very unhappy. As long as things are tied up ok I'm fine with shows not completing every god damn arc of the manga. Sometimes it's difficult with the longer running romance series but that's just kind of the nature of things I guess.
That being said I'm really glad that series like Monster exist although the fact that the English dub was never finished probably says a lot about those big, risky projects. Makes me sad though because I don't really read manga that much and I wonder about all the cool stuff that could have been made if the current environment wasn't what it is.

yeah I hate thinking about stuff like that, it's hard enough to sustain an active/broad interest in anime given the sheer amount of it that's out there now, so knowing that most of it just makes up the small portion of manga and light novels or equivalent that was lucky enough to get adapted is crushing. if i could read as much as i watch i would need a lot more than 24 hours in the day...
i guess though, if a cool adaptation does get cut off you can always try and forget about it and read the manga instead. i very rarely watch and read the same series, it's usually one or the other.
i've noticed in general though, subtitled anime is a lot easier to process than translated manga, even if the subs aren't that good you still retain a lot of meaning from the original voice tracks, with manga it's too easy for things to get lost in translation i think which is why i spend less time on it, even like the official English language Osamu Tezuka publications kind of irk me sometimes, like i can tell something's not quite coming across as intended.

Re: ILF Anime Thread OK321LETSJAMBADABADABADABADABAAAAH!!!!!
Manga translations go back and forth for me. Some things are pretty hard to get across the language border. I'm just happy I've gotten far enough in my Japanese that I can read manga fine. But I now have like 40 tankobans sitting my house to read, and like 10 books. I've really been piling that shit up on myself. I've been finding more and more stuff from anime adaptations lately. Like Akatsuki no Yona anime turned me on to the manga, which is fantastic as well.
Owari no Seraph looks cool, I liked the first episode. I haven't had a chance to watch most of the new stuff yet.
