ive a/b/c'd the v4/black russian/bad stoneJero wrote:Chankgeez wrote:ryan summit wrote: the manual knob upgrade doesnt make up for the sizeyall know that there is more circuitry right? Bad Stones have 6 stages.
best sounding one to my ears
was the black russian
but my ears cant be trusted
especially when talking about expensive tone
if it sounded that much better to me id be using it
not sayin it isnt awesome
it fuckin rules
i love the small stone phase sound
thats why i had 3 at the same time
when it came down to it the v4 stayed on my board
size ultimately made the decision
for what i use it,when i use it
the benefits if extra stages would get lost
the reason i havent got a whetstone is size
badstone takes the space of 4 pedals on my board
and only using it with heavy dirt
the only upgrade in my case is the manual mode
thats what i meant jero
and now to be a dick:
ive opened it up
in fact it doesnt have screws
and it didnt need to be that big

Of course it didn't need to be that big. EHX is known for oversized boxes in the past. That's nothing new. I was simply saying, there's a little more of a difference about them than just a knob. Should have used the roll eyes emoticon so my half ass joke came across. Next time I just won't say anything

Satan help me, I want one of these so bad.

I am thoroughly enjoying this DBA reverb, but for the sake of functionality and also wacky reverse octave verbs, I think I may have to sell it off and get one of these.

Ive literally had this DBA verb for 5 days. This is an affliction.

I only play an electric 12 string now. 6 strings feel dumb to me. This is my guitarDisarm D'arcy wrote:Disarm D'arcy wrote:
I want this conservative homophobic 12 string. I've been lusting over a 12 string for a while and it's the cheapest. And I bet it would sound fun with fuzz.
Really thinking about this hard. Any of you guys (Skully?) have first hand experience with electric 12 strings and how much fun they are with pedlols? The Beatles / Byrds demo that are filling the internet are really not helping. I'm afraid I could like the 12 but just lose interest in it's specific sound over time.

It goes real well with all types of fuzz. I use a dba apocalypse/fuzz war. Octave fuzz on a 12 string is great, real messy
I've found a compressor can help with fuzzy 12 string. I use an accountant after my fuzz and it sounds really nice
Get one with a trem if you can also find an individual saddle bridge.
That means you can set it up real good for 12 string shoegaze fuzz with chorusy vibrato droning.
I have a mastery vibrato and ABM 12 saddle bridge and its a fantastic pairing (albeit stupidly priced)

I have a Squier Tele body lying around my living room that needs a neck, preferably something I can just drop in. Any suggestions?

If anyone wants my 12 string Telebird its still for sale
I honestly really dig the 12 string sound. I built the 12 string to see if I could do it, and if I didn't keep buying shit I would totally hang onto it. It's just so rich sounding and detailed

I've actively been looking for things to order today, being bored with studies. Alas, nothing to my liking has yet to pop up in BTS or on Reverb.
