Holy shit, that's one purdy broad. The color (dark dark purple, or are my eyes playing tricks on me?), the tint on the neck, flashy buckers. $200? What's the catch?

Yep, that's it! The pick guard matches better with the Afterneath than the picture admits.

Nah, the body is black. Dark, dark, dark purple woulda been better. The catch is it's a budget MIM Fender. Was dirty as sh!t and has a slight bit of damage to the finish. I can't get the bridge low enough. And, it has the heaviest strings on it that I've ever played on a guitar. Other than that, I'm happy.

Dat low price on the blacktop. You're pretty much gonna have to shim the neck or go with a different bridge to get the action lower. I have bridge lowered all the way on mine + neck shimmed with a few strips from the things that rolling papers come in, and I got strings down to 1mm-ish at 17th fret. It looks really nice btw.
Also ended up going down to 10-52 on mine (in C standard) and flipped the bridge pickup so the big poles on the surf 90 are pointed towards the neck instead of the bridge. Fixed the problem with it sounding too bright compared to the neck pickup imo. Wasn't shrill or twangy or anything like that, but it just sounded drastically different when I went from neck to bridge in a really annoying way, and now it's a bit darker and gets the sound I want too.

Re: Let's see your GUITAR!
Yeah, my bridge is bottomed out and low E is a little over 2mm at the 17th. The problem I have with swapping out for a lower bridge is that the tailpiece is so far back, and the angle to the bridge already so shallow, that I'm worried any lower and the strings might start jumping out of the saddles! I think my best solution is to shim the neck.
Also, I left a message with the guy I bought it from, earlier, asking him what strings he has on it. They're crazy. The bass strings sound like bass strings, with slaps and all.

Yeah, I would definitely just shim the neck. I just folded up another one of the rolling paper packets to check the thickness of it, and it's just a hair under 1mm thick, so maybe that would be a good place to start with a shim depending on how you like your strings? I also have basically no relief in my neck, so I'm not sure how you set your guitars up or if that will even work for you.
Post again if you hear back from him. I've never noticed a bass-like sound in low strings unless I was trying out flatwounds, so I'm kinda interested in this. o__O Probably won't be trying that out since it would murder my wrist, but I'm interested now.

Got a Bareknuckle Cobra put into the bridge...it's fucking insane. The Dimarzio that was there (now in the middle) sounds so....muddy in comparison. The cleans are ok but holy shit the overdriven tones are insane. Also tried a jaguar for the first time, having a hard time trying not to buy one and get some cobras put in it...
