I'm more like a mids-ist than a bassist.

Man that joystick build looks amazing!
I finished this enclosure for someone the other day. Not really my style at all, but was commissioned by someone on a builder forum as part of a trade and turned out pretty neat.

Heya, first time poster here. I've had tons of help lurking around here, so I thought I'd finally post something. Here's my two most recent builds.
Woolly Mammoth (kinda):

Pharaoh:

Both are keepers and have a spot in my pedalboard. The Pharaoh is hands down the best BMP-style pedal I've tried, and the Mammoth works great for really thick leads.
Next up is an original (to the extent where a fuzz box can be original these days) design, which is in a way a Frankenstein's monster between a bazz fuss, a fuzz face and a BMP.

Awesome builds dude. And your original creation sounds like a great idea. When you build it, post some clips and I will consider buying one.

Thank you very much! It's still in the prototype stage (needs a couple of tweaks), but here's a small clip of how it sounds into a clean amp right now: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/180 ... v1%201.mp3KaosCill8r wrote:Awesome builds dude. Sounds pretty good now. Can't wait to hear it after those tweaks. Sounds like it would be awesome for stoner/doom. Does it clean up with the guitars volume control?

Cheers! It cleans up pretty nice, and it's actually designed to have an input gain instead of a fuzz knobKaosCill8r wrote:Sounds pretty good now. Can't wait to hear it after those tweaks. Sounds like it would be awesome for stoner/doom. Does it clean up with the guitars volume control?

OC44 Rangemaster with input cap blend pot between 0.0047 and 0.1uf and 4.7k bias pot (that has no effect on the sound!). Quite pleased I managed to mash it all into that little french sweet tin I bought last year at a flea market for EU0.20.
Was ready to start debugging ground issues but it worked first time and sounds ace - stoked!

Nice work! I'm in the process of building a nos FF type thing into a similar tin (old film can).

Thanks. FF in another old tin is my next project, with switchable input caps and bias pot. Rangemaster into a FF seems to be basically a TB MkII so that's a lot of different tones from 2 pedals - seems to make sense. Probably gonna sell them.

My second and third builds ever, a Hyperion and a Shoe Gazer.
I'm still waiting on LEDs for the SG, but I'm super happy I built things that fuzz.
In other news, I have a sneaking suspicion I bought the wrong capacitor to build my Pep Box.
