Re: The what ever thread...
I think I may have just taken the first step towards mobilizing my coworkers towards unionizing by starting an anonymous FaceBook group.
I don't know if unionization is my goal, and I may get fired for it, but whatever; I hate the job. Maybe we can get our work load taken back down to a level that isn't needlessly wasteful of government funds and our time.

Just be careful with that. You might have your co workers support now, but when you step up to have a say on yours and everyone's behalf you might find yourself alone and left looking like the fool. Or worse! I have been there and discovered that the people you think have your back can be weak, useless cunts. Just look after your own interests.snipelfritz wrote:I think I may have just taken the first step towards mobilizing my coworkers towards unionizing by starting an anonymous FaceBook group.

Re: The what ever thread...
For sure. I hate this job and would rather be fired for social activism rather than the attendance/time adherence stuff I'm almost on the line of.
But seeing as our company is funded by the federal government which has waste/fraud/abuse whistleblower lines we can use, there is a sense of anonymity we can potentially use.
Honestly, I think I'm just doing this because I'm bored and weirdly motivated on Ambien. I don't even know if anyone will care.
But maybe I have that perfect level of not caring what happens to me to make a difference. Or maybe I won't give a shit about this tomorrow. Dunno, this job is so boring, I don't feel bad shaking things up just for the fuck of it.

Yeah, I spent a year trying to get that big-boy job I went to college for (in non-profit work even!)KaosCill8r wrote:Well yeah, Fuck it and stick it to the man then. Fight the power dude
Now with nothing to show, maybe its time I just embrace a position as a leader of this new lost generation. It's a weird new attitude I'm starting to consider. Maybe I'm on the beginning of a quarter-life crisis, but maybe it could be worthwhile.
Considering I spent much of the last year getting drunk all the time I can't go much of anywhere but up from here.
Ugh, but now it's nearly 4:30. I supposed I should soon just rub one out and get some sleep to be ready for being a semi-productive human being tomorrow.

If you are successful, let me know how you did it.snipelfritz wrote:I think I may have just taken the first step towards mobilizing my coworkers towards unionizing by starting an anonymous FaceBook group.

I've been sitting on my hands for a long time over the same thing at my work place.
It'd be nice to fuck back for a change.
And I share your sentiments about being educated/the not-for-profit sector/shit no being so crash hot right now.
Good luck, brother!

I don't know what I was trying to achieve with that last night. I don't think I knew at the time.
Sober and still sleepy it seems so much less worth giving any fucks, over. I think I'm just mad I don't get more time to focus on sudoku puzzles.

Re: The what ever thread...
I was practically falling asleep in my cubicle at work. I come to right at the moment when someone was going through cubicles with a drug dog and just going into mine. That was confusing. The supervisor apparently didn't notice me falling asleep because that was like an hour ago and they haven't sent me home.
I don't think they found anything illicit, but like four or five cubes down it did smell like someone has either some insane potpourri or a small Douglas fir in their backpack.

Wait, they bring drug dogs into your workplace?snipelfritz wrote:I was practically falling asleep in my cubicle at work. That's fucked up dude. Whats this world coming to when you can't take a little bud to work to make the workplace a happy place. I guess that just leaves jacking off in the toilet.Jeff-7 wrote:Wait, they bring drug dogs into your workplace?snipelfritz wrote:I was practically falling asleep in my cubicle at work.
