Re: NAMMasturbation 2015 (Winter Edition)
I'm back! 9 days in California, 5 days at NAMM. UGH. So tired I could scream. I have like a hundred pictures. Seriously. hahaha. I tried out so many cool things there that I want and actually bought 4 pedals. hahaha
Most notable is the Moog Chorus, HOLY FUCK it's amazing and the Flanger. The Geiger Counter Pro, don't even know where to start with that one. Amazing. A few pedals by very unknown guys, which I will be checking out.
Everything Earthquaker had. I bought three pedals from hahaha. The Fuzz Master General, Afterneath and Hummingbird V3 (with expression!). UGH. SOoooooooooooooooooo good.
The dudes at Walrus Audio were super fucking nice. Love those guys as well. I played all their pedals but couldn't hear very well because of how loud the damn place was. But I did get a chance to hear a few other people playing with louder amps with their stuff. That delay. So good. I asked to buy it but it was a proto. Hahaha
Source Audio's stuff was amazing as well. They were pretty cool dudes as well. Glad to meet them. Got to jam out on all their new stuff. The delay was fucking great, but my favorite was the overdrive and fuzz. Sounded so damn good. I was really surprised. That delay is like a miniature Timeline though, so Strymon has some competition coming.
Red Panda, super fucking nice. I ate lunch with their media lady. God I feel bad because I literally talked to her more than anyone at the show and I can't remember her name.
She even invited me out for drinks with them. Such nice people. That booth was full of great people.
Mantic Conceptuals. OMG. I love these guys! Hahaha. So funny and down to earth. Young dudes, but super smart, and making just killer stuff. All of their pedals sounded fucking amazing. I wanted them bad. Going to order something online from them in the near future.
Tons of others I met. Got to see Victor Wooten play. That was awesome, even though he was slap happy, it was cool as shit. Also got to see Andrew Gouche play at MTD. That guy is an amazing player. So good. Oh and Gwar was there! hahaha. Those guys suck, but it was awesome to see them.
Plus I missed a ton of famous people because I was like "fuck waiting in line".
And I got to meet Ben/Aen from Dwarfcraft. Super nice dude! Loved talking to him.
It was a good experience. I can see the value in it and the reason some thing it's a wanker fest. Honestly it can be, but a lot of good shit goes down there. It was a blast.

Re: NAMMasturbation 2015 (Winter Edition)
HAHA! You got it dude!
Oh I forgot to mention. JHS is just how you would imagine them. They could have given a fuck less about me. I tried to introduce myself and tell them I'm from the same area and shit, and they were "ok". They didn't even try to hide their disinterest. Huge dicks. I wanted to punch that fat fuck in the face the whole show. Ugh. So yea, they are not very nice dudes. At least the couple I talked to. I gave them my business card anyway.
Also, forgot I did in a way confirm that Walrus was Christian owned. I know some were asking. The way I confirmed this was a by a massive group of Christian (I knew because their badges said so) people hanging around their booth. Plus I can somewhat tell after being around so many people my whole life. Like I said though, super humble, super nice, loved them.
OH! And the most important! Douglas, Hugo, Franco and (FUCK! I forgot his name from Darkglass), plus Sheldon from Dingwall and I all went out to dinner after NAMM. Doug is so fucking funny dude. I won't say why because I don't want anyone to think anything bad about him, but he had some really well made cookies before dinner. That's all I'll say. Hahaha. He's a fucking riot. I was so humbled when he was hugging on me and buying me dinner. hahaha. Love that guy. Sheldon was super fucking nice too. He told me I have to come back, I just have to.
That made my whole trip worth it.

Re: NAMMasturbation 2015 (Winter Edition)
OK have to post some pictures. Tom, don't ban me. hahaha. Only going to post part of them.
Ok coolest thing I got at the show besides the pedals was this picture that was taken of Tom Morello's guitar. It's a one of a kind and I was told will never be sold again. We will see. hahaha. It's awesome though.

My pedals. I also got t-shirts, a hoodie from Earthquaker and a hat, plus other swag, but this stuff is killer. Fuzz Master General #20!!! I had a nose bleed at NAMM to and bled on the fucking box! So brutal! LOL

Ok other pictures I'll be uploading 4 at a time.

Best of show for me! http://www.warmstarelectronics.com/ OMG so fucking good

Fuzzrocious and MXR mash up. So thick and meaty. I actually really liked it.

GWAR at Moog booth. These guys are just awful, but it was cool to see them.

This somehow completely passed me by. What is there to tell about it? Site only shows the functionality and gives a couple of soundcloud demos that are sort of hard to listen to. Can the LFO amount go to 0, can you use it as a fixed filter?

Re: NAMMasturbation 2015 (Winter Edition)
So I had the dude demo it for me first with a drum machine and then with a guitar. It's got to be the bubbliest filter I've ever heard. What was cool about it was you can expression control, no one or two parameters, but three, all at once too if you want.phantasmagorovich wrote:

Not sure about the LFO amount, but I'm pretty certain you could use it as a fixed filter.
It's the best LFO I've heard. He co-made it with Delptronics which makes crazy shit as well. They were sharing the booth.
I'm hoping more demos will pop up, but from what I heard, I want one, bad.
