Started playing Borderlands 2 with my best friend and it's going great.
I had played up to level 20ish when it first launched, but it really sucked playing with people who
A) zoom from objective to objective, skip all dialogue, and never explore beyond the main path, and
B) rush to grab every single item for themselves, then give you the leftovers that would have been decent five levels ago...

And I need to finally get myself a PS4, there are enough great games now and it's actually not very good for me professionally not to have a current gen system at home...

I knew I saw it discussed on there before, but didn't realize the guy who made it was actually on.
I played the first little bit of it and it is AMAZING. Just absolutely incredible
Wish I could access Muffs a little more consistently right now so I could try to find those threads on it

I tried playing Dark Souls again and remembered why I stopped.

Trying out some Revolver360 Reactor and Crimzon Clover World Ignition instead.

Started playing Fallout: New Vegas again. I found the ultimate edition for $15 the other day.

Makes me really excited to see what they do with the Skyrim tech in the fallout series.

As long as they don't dumb down the SPECIAL system and the perks. And goddamn, I know its a wasteland, but let's spice it up a bit. NV was better than FO3 but still felt like a huge world populated by cardboard cutout people. Skyrim definitely had that problem too. So much to explore, so little to find.

I guess its hard to make a giant RPG and really flesh everything out like it needs to be.

Dark Souls is worth spending a bit more time on to really get into it.

The first time I played it I stopped after a couple of hours (and finished Uncharted 3 instead). I went back to it later, it clicked and it's now probably my favourite game ever. There are so many smart design choices in there, and the game systems are excellent...

16 hours of beating by head against a wall and I'm still not convinced.

Which parts make you beat your head against a wall ?
I'm not saying that you're wrong, the game might very well not be for you, but there's a chance that a different approach may make the game better for you :).

Make a sorcerer and oneshot everything. I deleted mine after it actually got so easy I was starting to get bored.

Played through Evoland yesterday. Pretty fun, short Zelda & Final Fantasy style game.
As in: there are parts where you have hearts and you have to stab stuff and dodge and not die. Then you might enter a dungeon and everything switches to turn based combat. One dungeon is totally Diablo Hack&Slash style.
Game starts out 8-bit black and gameboy yellow green. Switches to color, then textures, eventually to full on 3D with textures, etc.

Very fun, short game that seems to move through the life cycle of RPG styled games.

Then I started playing Shovel Knight. SHIT. Fun but challenging. I've never been great at the Megaman styled games. Super entertaining. Great soundtrack. Sweet concept.

I'm also curious what parts you're stuck on
Dark Soul has like redefined gaming for me. Took so long for me to get into another game after playing it
Also not saying you're wrong, just saying I really enjoyed it
