Yeah I used to have an iceman with the tuneomatic; it was the MIJ IC-500 from the 90's. It did work well. That guitar really was too metal for me, and too rare and beautiful to modify; I wanted to put some single coils in it, lol. Even I know how fucked up and wrong that is. That headstock shape is perfect; wehuntkings' IC-500 got everything about the iceman right, imo.

You could put those p-90 in a humbucker size dealys in there :idk:

Did yours have proper body binding? I found that the binding on my '05 400 was not so hot. The finish isn't amazing either.
The neck construction and overall build quality is incredible though, and playability is infallible.
My 94 or whatever 350 with the Floyd may have lower quality parts, but I feel like build quality was higher then.
I swapped the pups out on that thing for a dimebucker and an invader. No regrets.
The electronics really are the worst thing about those 90s ones.
They're all Paul Stanley buttrockers.

It had a pearloid binding, pretty cool, there's a picture somewhere in here (page 198). I forgot that you posted there, WeHuntKings. Nice. Yeah it was really playable. Fast neck. Build quality was great on those 90's Icemen. I've read the the guys from both White Zombie and System of a Down changed the pickups; it seems to be the thing to do. The pickups in the picture are Lollar SCFH pickups. Humbucker sized P90's basically. Pretty hot and dark for single coil pickups.

She's an amazing player. Was refurbished by a guy who worked under Neal Moser (original Bich designer and original bc rich shop foreman) I toyed with the idea of selling it once. So glad I didn't.

I use a version of this as my main tuning, you won't be disappointed for sure. It's :omg:

morange wrote:Obulus, this is the first I've ever seen that second bridge idea. Way cool.

It's a Lee ranaldo thing (at least that's where i saw it first). Picked up the idea of using a tele bridge for it lurking on offset guitars. The strings behind the bridge are extremely resonant (compared tot my SG with a pickup behind the bridge too). You can even hear them with the pickup switched off, it sounds awesome!

I love the knobs you chose for those guitars, BFC.

Also, dig your music. Hopefully next time I'm out west you guys will be playing!
