Re: Sunday GAS party(winter)
Oh, I will do it. IT IS DECIDED. Wating for my vacation money (you guys have that?) in january, then it shall be bought. Also, I need to wait and see what I get for ILFmas, had almost forgotten that I'll receive something as well. That will probably decide how I will organize my boards.

I'm a complete sucker for bitcrushed clean arpeggios, I get giddy just thinking about being able to do them.Tristan wrote:Do it man, it's hands down one of the most awesome sample rate reducer pedals out there!Inconuucl wrote:I price cut all of the amps I'm selling on Craigslist in an attempt to get my paws on that sweet HEXE Bitcrusher on B/S/T. Hell yeah! The Raptio is a great tool and fairly easy to control for stutters, drones and soundscapes. Having the craziness from the Possessed as well would be perfect - I mean, apart from fuzzes and delays, stuttery glitchness is the only effects I've bonded with. And I need to see it through to the bitter end. All your glitch are belong to us.goosekevin wrote:Same! Would the rapito also work as an alternative for the EHX freeze?

YES! I believe so, I use it a lot like I would imagine peeps use their Freezes. Holding on to a note and droning over it. Tuning my oscillating fuzz for harmonies. It's beautiful.

yeah the hold function works the same wayInconuucl wrote:Would the rapito also work as an alternative for the EHX freeze?
except it cuts in and out immediately, the ehx has options to fade it in and out a bit more smoothly
also the rapito has a different timbre, a bit thinner and reedier to my ear
you can hear it compared in phantasmagorovich's demo!

i find the raptio "freeze" more appealing and musical than the ehx freeze which has that cheesy organ sound to it.goosekevin wrote: also the rapito has a different timbre

Why can't I get one of these in a seven string?

Re: Sunday GAS party(winter)
I don't feel like I need all that. Plus I think I could adjust to seven strings, but that fretboard looks a mile wide.
Also I was gonna start that band with my mate who plays bass. Would be a bit rude to oust him straight off the bat.
The rest of the guitar is right up my alley.
Neck through, sweet grains, dat bridge....

Re: Sunday GAS party(winter)
On the latest Meshuggah album Thordendal played a couple of tunes with a six string and apparently he was exalted about how much nicer the neck was than the 8 string.
Of course they went out and bought 9 strings since then... Necks must be NOS railway sleepers.

Re: Sunday GAS party(winter)
Switching between 6 and 7 strings is terrible for me, to be honest. When I go back to my 6-string, it feels like I'm holding a toothpick. Worst of all is that i go above the neck when improvising as I try to nail the 7 string. Of course after a while I get used to it, but then i switch back to my 7-string guitar and it feels like a fucking plank, and I accidentally bump on the 7 string since I forget that I can use it.
It's nothing too major at the end of the day, but it's there.
