Heard that! My Matchless has been sitting in the corner giving me dirty looks. Out of curiosity, what speaker/speakers are you pushing it through?
I've got an open back avatar cab with a Celestion blue & a g12h30 (hellatone) and it's been absofrigginluteky stellar. I had to drop Alex a line last night just to tell him how incredibly happy am with it.

I'm going to start saving up for a Mother (whenever I happen to be able to save anything that is). I emailed Alex nearly a month ago and he said he's going to be making them in smaller enclosures now, which makes it just that much more enticing for whatever reason.

Could you guys let this thread die so my wallet will stop waking up in the middle of the night screaming?
Every time I see it get bumped I end up watching that Street Sweeper demo and rubbing my nipples erotically.

I have a Verellen and a '68 princeton reverb jealously staring at me from the corner here... I'm using a WGS speaker in a 1x12 closed cab. I forget which WGS speaker because I haven't opened the cab in years, but I think it's a Veteran 30. I've been thinking of testing an alnico speaker with it but alnicos are so expensive and it already sounds so good, so I forget every time I start playing :whateva:

That's my lil shivvy, and yes keep bumping this thread and give Alex all of your money!

What are these amps based on? "how" do they sound?

Big fan of Kidcrash, I spent a crazy night with Buster years ago in Tijuana.

Based on various circuits. The mother is apparently hiwattish but sounds a lot ballsier than any highwatt I've heard.

New here! i've been a lurker for a while and finally decided to join, I've been gasing hard for a science for a while. Really torn between the Hellhawk with El34's or the Decolonizer with Kt88's.

Without knowing anything about what you play or like... KT88s rule everything!

What is the idea of the kt88s? I notice that things have more wattage and headroom when they get involved.

I think kt88s can handle more voltage.

Sorry about that haha My musical tastes are all over the place haha I just picked up a ritual fuzz from BAT to go with my pharaoh fuzz. So i want something that takes fuzz really well but still can cover regular gain tones as well. I play mostly stoner rock and and some doomier stuff. I like the single channel idea of the Hellhawk but in the back of my mind feel like the clean channel of the decolonizer would take fuzzes amazing and still have a lot of gain on tap if i ever needed it.

The hellhawk has a foot switch that would allow more distortion The full and focUsed knobs are your friends.

They're going to be 24" wide and deeper front to back instead of 28" wide because bass players didn't want a head that was wider than their standard 24" cabs.

The Decolonizer has more gain and a clean channel. The Hellhawk is more in the all dirty all the time camp. I'd go with the Decolonizer for versatility but the Hellhawk is an equally cool amp.
