I love your style in guitars, DD!

Out of curiosity; what PU's do you have in that TC72 and how do you like them? I'm getting some Lollars for mine next week (Regal and Special T).

Yep, Maton MS500 50th Anniversary model. It's great, coil tapped HB in the bridge and P90ish single coil in the neck. Has a Gibson look but 25.5" scale that I prefer now days.

Here'R mah babies.

My first. An '87 American Std Strat that was given to me for my 15th B-Day. I later added the Gold Lace Sensors. Love this guitar like mad.

Image

The first guitar I bought for myself back in 1988 or '89. '71 LP Std. Currently has a pair of SK Design Dual Tone II pickups with crazy switching system for like 20 different tones (P90, alnico 5 SC, HB in parallel or series).

2013 SG Std Natty Burst with 490R/498T

Image

2011 or '12 (can't recall) LP Jr Special with the dreaded baked maple.

Image

I don't care if it's baked, stoned, or fuckin' couch potatoed, it plays great, and sounds awesome. The torrified maple feels very nice, almost ebonyish. I'm thinking of ebonizing the board with leather dye.

Finished this up tonight.

To copy my description from Instagram: A lesson in recycling! Got this body and neck from hbombgraphics and was really at a loss as to whether or not I was actually going to invest time into it. It sat in the corner of my workspace ignored for a few months until tonight I finally did something about it. Cut the pickguard from an old IKEA recycling bin. Used the old Teisco roller bridge. Salvaged a P Bass bridge, flipped it around, drilled two extra holes, and made a hardtail piece for the bridge. Found an old recycled potentiometer, knob, and Jack in my parts bin. Scrapped as many tuners as I could find together. Found the Danelectro pickup that had sat unused for years. Cut the temporary nut out of the scrap of a Telecaster bridge that I made a cutoff. Bolted the neck to the body with an old Fender plate that I drilled new holes for. It lives! And actually plays and stays in tune! Just want to coat the body with several layers of poly to seal the wood and do the same to the neck. Shredder thin neck with shredder action! I love it. Sounds raunchy!

I have a set by The Creamery. Jaime is in the Uk and does pretty amazing stuff. I have a. Purple friends who did business with him after I got my set for this Telecaster and all have nothing but praise.
Jaime does every set custom. Basically I wanted a classic Wide Range and a bridge that would work with it. We agreed on a late '60s early '70s style bridge and he balanced it to the Iwde Range. He really nailed it.
I have pick ups from Fralin and Hepcat (a French guy) but I honestly don't see myself doing business with another shop in the future.
You can hear these pickups clean extensively in my Walrus descent video.

Happy to see the Maton being loved on the top end of the rock. They are made in my home city. I also have an MS500 in sunburst. Standard model. Mine doesn't have the body binding though. Awesome collection dude :thumb:

That is so cool. Recycled adds to the awesomeness factor. Its amazing what can be done with what people discard. I do a lot of scrounging and fixing.
