edit: ecgs are also less expensive, smaller, portable, not a huge angry magnet and not loud enough to cause permanent hearing damage

Don't get me started on brain research methods. For a relatively new branch of study, it's already pretty backwards in a lot of ways. Or, really just stubborn.

One mature Atlantic Salmon (Salmo salar) participated in the fMRI study. The salmon measured approximately 18 inches long, weighed 30.8 lbs, and was not alive at the time of scanning. It is not known if the salmon was male or female, but given the post-mortem state of the subject this was not thought to be a critical variable.

As I was driving home, I saw a guy walking around while wearing one of those leaf blower backpacks.
I thought of pulling over, just to ask him:
"Hey... are you a ghostbuster?"
