What does I <3 Fuzz think of this:

thread on harmony central is filled with
"just learn sweeps faggot"
Iunno, it's a pretty awesome little device, for some synthy/videogame type sounds...

Re: Guitar Arpeggiator? (sequenced pitch-shifter)
I love the harpeggiator inside my pitchfactor
It's a useful tool...very few if any people use them to simulate shreddy sweeps.
It's more of a noise generator/loop/synth tool type thing to add flavor to a song.
I don't know if I'd buy a standalone pedal devoted to it, but I appreciate having it inside my eventide.

I'd do sweeps if I could do them cleanly and consistently, which is why Paul Waggoner is my hero.
Plenty of shredders do sweeps, but besides maybe Paul Waggoner and Paul Gilbert, few do it cleanly and precisely night after night.
I post this video all the time because it is one of my favorite solo ever
Solo @ 4:55
sweeps @ 6:38

You could never do that with a pedal.

1) Memory Boy 100% wet, feeback all the way off
2) Square Wave vibrato
3) Set time to 8:00, tune with depth knob
4) ???
5) PROFIT!
But honestly, I can get a pretty unbelievable 5th up/down arpeggio out of that thing. Lots of fun.

BTBAM is the tits
Basically it'd be sweet to use this thing on really fast, really BIG arpeggios
like spanning a couple octaves or more... perhaps get some different techno/trance kinds of sounds out of it.
The demo used it at speeds that for the most part seem reasonable to just play but I imagine you could turn the rate up pretty high and get some relatively obnoxious sounds out of it....
QUALITY DANCEPUNK
i dunno

Holy smokes... I do want that synth module!
I like the arpeggiator... but then, I play in a synthpop band. I would want it for more of the weird bleeps and whatnot than for proper arpeggiation. But the way I look at it, any tool is worth trying. Well, except maybe for ones that explode. I try to leave those alone.

I'm more like a mids-ist than a bassist.

ToneCore stuff is suprisingly good, I gotta say.
