I like to see more and more eastern games on steam because I may someday get the rest of the Metal Slugs and MMX8 (I think 4-7 are garbage but liked the bit of 8 I've played
).

I highly enjoy tasing people in APB, handcuffing them and then /farting on them as they sit there waiting to respawn.

I've been playing a bunch of Diablo3 since the latest patch. My raid group in WoW is on hiatus until that patch comes out. Still need to finish the South Park game and all the Borderlands 2 DLCs.

Well to do The Crown of the Sunken King you have to at least be at the Black Gulch. I found you just kind of cruise through NG+ compared to the first time through.
I'm finding that the game "cruises" more and more the longer you play, even just on the first play through. The beginning is challenging because you don't have any good equipment and your stats blow.

Eh, I liked it. Maybe though because I have only played the newer ones (X-XIII), so I'm not basing it on the old ones.
I got Wasteland 2 today also.

I keep on getting My Little Pony ads on the gaming videos I watch. Should I be... offended?

I was the 8 year old douchebag that played FFVII about 4 times before I played the other earlier ones, so I haven't got a reputable card to play.

I don't know, modern FF games are so overly complicated and has so many pointless details within details that everything is just the incoherant rambling of a madman with a fetish for a girl with Pink hair.

Re: The Video Game thread
My favorites FFs were 7-9 and 12, but that's probably because I was Playstation kid. Never had a nintendo, though I did play the PS1 releases of all those old SNES RPGs: FF4-6, Chrono Trigger. I didn't like 13 because I didn't like the combat system, and I hated that the summons were basically transformers. The art direction was getting repetitive, too, almost a parody of earlier characters. 7-12 each had their own unique look and gameplay. I still want to play through 12 again, though it's on a PC emulator now
(thanks again, Achtane
)

Re: The Video Game thread
I'm just going to go ahead and say it... I didn't really like FF6, it's not the style of game as Wild Arms I had enjoyed, but FFVII - IX was it for me (and I was BIG in to FF with those) X was tolerable but I never actually bothered finishing it that I remember. I was in the room when my buddy played XIII and honestly it looked like a boring children's game with lots of bright neon colours to me, the story parts I caught just... no soul and a lot annoyed me like an episode of a disney kids show or bad US sitcom.

Re: The Video Game thread
FF VI is the only one I've ever cared about, and I care about it quite a lot.
I've tried I, II, IV, V, VII. Finished a few of them. None really clicked. Haven't cared enough to play the later ones. I ran through each of the classic Gameboy FF's back in the day. They're not great but I could play them on my gray brick.

Also, playing through Earthbound on an emulator right now. Hot damn. The nostalgia.
Also played Super Metroid nonstop the past 2 days.

My friend and I died so many times in the intro stage of FFT because we didn't know that there were even party members available and the game didn't imply that you could place more people besides Ramza.
In my play through I destroyed everything with dual sword ninja Ramza...in his, he got stuck in the one on one fight against the first zodiac demon dude and had to restart his entire file, lulz.

Re: The Video Game thread
i've had this annoying thing where i play a game i'm interested in long enough to conceptualize the interface and how their approach differs from other games and..... get bored after an hour or two.
i miss being super butts obessed with something like Portal or Borderlands.
NEW/EARLIER STORY BORDERLANDS OCTOBER WOOOOOOOOO!!
i've actually been really thinking about running through the first one again. dunno if i'd still enjoy it though?
