Sometimes I want to reinstall Diablo 2/Median XL but then I come to my senses.

Diablo II in 2004-2006 was some of the best gaming years of my life.

New Dark Souls 2 DLC is killing me. I've found tons of stuff but I keep getting destroyed. Been playing for like two days and I just found the first boss
Also just found what has got to be the best PvP ring possible: Simpleton's Ring turns you invisible when you roll.

You guys are making me really miss my very first Battlefield 1942 screenshots.
That game was my life for like...3 years, and off and on from there. We used to be able to bomb stuff while flying blind at max height just from watching icons on the map disappear as people got into vehicles. So good.
While I was still on 56k and a POS desktop I knew that 1942 would be THE SHIT based on an ad in the side of an EGM page. Maybe it was PC Gamer...

i'm broke but i feel like i should get one or the xbox one...any arguments for either are appreciated!

I'd wait a while if you decide to get the XBOX one. A friend of mine got one shortly after they came out and he's been complaining about it's un-user friendliness ever since. Maybe after some time they'll update it and it'll get better. That being said, I haven't used one personally so :idk: Anyone else here have one and have opinions on it?

Yeah, I work in the industry. The dev teams I know are all in on the PS4, not so much on the Xbox. I think they are both good at what they each set out to do. Each one is different. I'll end up with both for my job, but I'm PS4 first...

Selling my soul here maybe, but...DESTINY ANYONE? Like a fancier, more brutal Borderlands to me so far, am enjoying it! Despite their willingness to shove ads onto every site there is.

Nope.
maybe 10% in common with Borderlands. (probably more.......just seems like elements of borderlands slapped in):p
BL1 is my favorite game of all time.....BFFs.

I DL'd Destiny last night and I was not impressed. Frankly, I would have been better off not downloading it at all.
I'm on 360.....so the graphics aren't great........not enough loot........pretty much Halo.........no story.......bunch of horde modes back to back.......boring gear........

Pretty harsh, but I ain't feelin' it yet. it might get better over time???

It's more in the vein of an MMO. There are dungeons and raids and a bunch of different currencies and a dance emote button.

Any good RPGs out right now, or am I doomed to wait until Dragon Age: Inquisition?

I'm waiting for them to finally release a Final Fantasy that actually feels Final Fantasy again. I dropped out after XIII. I hated the combat system. IF they do release a good one again, then, and only then, will I consider buying a PS4.

For now I can't get enough DS2. I've finally played it long enough that when I die a bunch of times, I don't get pissed or very discouraged.
