Beginning an overhaul of all my pc hardware and peripherals for gaming. First up, the keyboard. Having trouble deciding between these two:

http://www.nixeus.com/product/moda-mech ... key-board/

Anyone have either? Thoughts?

I use that and it's awesome, just figured I'd throw it in the mix. You can get it cheaper elsewhere I believe.

Just got a new Corsair mouse since I had an eBay gift card. Got a lot of games to play and not a lot of time or motivation.

1. The Last of Us Remasterd: I've been digging it, looks and plays great and the story and acting have kept me intrigued. I can't see this being a perfect 10 game so far as the gameplay is getting pretty repetitive. I'm thinking they'll throw some changes my way.

2. DaS2 DLC: Just started exploring but no bosses down. I've logged over 100 hours on the game though. Going to focus on other things before starting back up.

3. Walking Dead Series: Beat the first on Xbox but playing it again on PC so my choices transfer over to the second season. Might binge play it this weekend

I've got a bunch of random stuff to finish up too. Portal 2 ( I know), OctoDad, Outlast and a bunch more. FIFA15 comes out in like 5-6 weeks, it's crunch time.

I suggest perusing something like the linustechtips channel for cool things and thangs, guy knows his stuff.

EDIT: Oh and I should say that I use one of the older Razer Blackwidows with the Cherry Mx Blues and I like it well enough.

I've tried a fair few mechanical keyboards, the Ducky 3shine is the best quality to price keyboard on the market. You can get any style of Cherry MX keys (I'm a browns kind of guy) and they're very well priced.

Trying to play Tomb Raider again, I don't know... it's everything that I hate about modern videogames rolled into one convenient title, but then again I can't get into TWD/TLoU so maybe i'm just weird that way.

I think I'm putting the gaming computer upgrades on hold. Spent more than $500 yesterday between gear and records.

Gaming keyboards from my 25m raid people have had very bad luck with the Razor stuff. People kill them pretty regularly, and the support hasn't been real hot.

Pretty much it's Logitech stuff for the support alone (call the company, say it's dead, get a RMA that you do by email, they send you another and you keep them both in case it ever dies).

My personal original G15 died after literally 7 years of abuse.

My pedalboard costs approximately 191 Metal Zones.

I totally agree with you on those titles. I didn't finish Tomb Raider or The Last of Us either. I dunno, I tried but fizzled shortly after.

I bought a PS Vita and a few games. It's my first handheld/console in 4 years! I've been playing Akiba's Trip, and SHIT. It's fun!

I preordered Civ: Beyond Earth.

Alpha Centuari was my first civ game and I still think it did a bunch of stuff better than the main series. Feeling the hype.

I'm excited for Beyond Earth but also a little concerned that it'll just be a reskinned civ 5 with not much change. Don't get me wrong, I will buy and play the shit out of a space themed civ 5, it would just be cool if it was more ambitious like AC.

Well, you can get halfway there with mods, aha

http://venturebeat.com/2014/06/07/the-f ... rth-today/

I've been using the map out of nostalgic excitement.

I really like that C:BE has a web for a tech tree, and synergistic social policies (virtues) that work across the various progressions, as well as divergent upgrades for the units. Combine that with faction customisation before you start, the three post-human affinities and the differing biospheres for the planet, I'm just looking forward to all the possibilities, something new and less predictable than the well worn tour through history. It seems like in SMAC, there's also more options available in espionage and diplomacy.

Civ5 was great, and each of the expansions were filled with decent content that expanded and improved the game. Same with the expansion for XCOM. I've got some faith in Fireaxis not just to knock out something cheap.

I got it for 37.50 from greenmangaming with the discount voucher (HEA34T-3L03RY-JLXOOR). I don't even mind paying close to full price for these kinds of games because you tend to get a lot of time out of them.

Oh absolutely, I'm not saying I won't be good. Just preparing for slight disappointment to avoid getting overhyped I guess? (I'm just a negative person sometimes! :()

But yeah, xcom, civ 5 and the expansions for both of those, some of my favourite games recently so I've definitely got faith I'll enjoy the hell out of it.
