Thanks dude! We're working on at least one more right now, and I believe we're shooting for an actual release by November.emptyparadigm wrote:I need some ILD stickers.

Skip et al, that tune rules. Need more ASAP.
Anyone played one of the Agile LP baritones? My bud Grant from In the Company of Serpents is in need of a backup for his Epiphone baritone LP, and I suggested he check out Agile. 250 for a set neck is pretty nuts, and even if it needs all new hardware and a setup, it'd be a steal.

Congrats doom daddy!!!!!Timm Grimm wrote:Well I had a crazy day today. Sitting at work and someone runs in to tell me that my wife is having a baby.(She was due in August.) We can't have phones in my building and I guess she didn't call the right number, so she had to call my buddy I work with. I was actually mid meeting. So I run out and jump in my truck and call my wife, and apparently it had already happened. She was only in actual labour for 30 mins which is a shock to me because she's a petite 5ft and our first took like 12 hours. I'm a little upset I couldn't be in there for her but birth is pretty gruesome.(so much fluids) so he's about a month premature and he'll be staying a couple weeks, but he's ok and healthy so I'm happy. We really aren't that worried. We don't even have a name for him. I've wanted to name him Cash (among other names, my other favorite being King, but the wife wasn't having that one.) But her and my son want Hunter and that one isn't terrible. So we're thinking Hunter Cash.
Well all in all, I had an exciting day.
It's funny my wife was talking about how much she preferred the doom scene over other scenes I've been in; mainly because everyone has or was working on a family and the bands worked around people having family's not insisting they take the band's side first and foremost.

I haven't played one (dazedbyday has one though!) but if their anything like the other Agiles I've played its definitely worth it. It shouldn't need new hardware but I always suggest a setup.
Well we've got one more pretty much done and I've got the riffs for a third nailed down. If we can get between 8-10 by august plus the other things we're gonna throw in there we should be good for November.BoatRich wrote:Thanks dude! Its torture knowing that I have to work when this will be delivered today. Can't get my hands on it until tomorrow after I get home from work but I saw this on facebook this morning and got all excited.

As a really young guy without a family, the doom scene just seems more welcoming overall to me. As far as 8-10 by August goes, I think we can handle that? Thanks for the love everyone. His due date was August 10th but he wasn't waiting. The whole ordeal was so fast she didn't even get any pain meds. Not only I missed it, but her Dr did too. Not only that but she feels great now. Did yesterday too.Corey Y wrote:Congrats on the baby Timm. Ours is due in early August, we're waiting to see if he wants to wait that long.
Have fun with that.amorphous wrote:Congrats Timm - that's good stuff! many blessings to you and yours.

We're having a home birth, with a midwife. It's our first though. Going through all the self education required to interview midwives and now the more professional education of taking natural birthing classes has been really interesting. Being a white, middle class, suburban American guy, the only thing I knew about birth is what they taught in health class. That is, that the baby comes out of the vagina (ideally).

Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
totallies, Corey....it's all around a better experience. My oldest (previous marriage) was a hospital birth and it was ok, but kinda up-in-out. Then my ex and I lost a baby at full term (thanatophoric dysplasia) in a hospital...and it was the same all around and super sad times. Home births just allow everyone to get their mind right and it's not assembly line. That said, I was born in a hospital and i turned out semi-ok(!)

I'm back! IT can't keep me away!
Congrats on the new baby, Timm!
Home births scare the shit outta me considering the craziness that happened when my son was born. His cord had prolapsed in the early stages of pushing. The entire area hospital freaked out and had to go into emergency c-section mode. It was really something to experience. You know, usually doctors and nurses are pretty calm collected, but during this whole thing they were all running around like madmen.

that would be crazy. one in 300 chance. I guess it's a calculated risk? I figure i've been hit by lightning with one birth, so the chances are slim(mer)?LOCOPELAND wrote: Home births scare the shit outta me considering the craziness that happened when my son was born. Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
Big congrats to Timm on his new youngen!!
There is little 'gear elitism' as well. I've seen guys rocking 50 watt Marshall amps with a cheap 2x12 because it's all they can afford and carry, but people still love it and other bands respect it.Ancient Astronaught wrote:It really is IMO. I'd like to have a home birth, but I haven't even met the mother of my children yet (or have I?) and it will be her choice to make, not mine. Obviously I can read about it and show her the benefits, but it will be her decision in the end and I'd have to respect that.amorphous wrote:Dr. Dad here...this will be #3 unassisted homebirth. Thanks. A slightly brighter 65 Weber sounds about right.conky wrote:I didn't play with it much. I figured out the problem before put the speaker in and then tried it just to see if it made a difference. Its kinda like the Weber 65s as in its everything I liked about the V30 without the harsh top end. The Silver Bell was a little bit brighter than the speakers that came with the cab. I don't know if thats because it hasn't been broken in or not though.AngryGoldfish wrote:Any thoughts on the speaker, Clifton?

Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
I was supposed to be a home birth, but I was 6 weeks early and my mom had a UTI. My wife wanted a home birth, I back her decision and did the necessary research. So I interviewed all the midwives in the area with a list of questions about every possible emergency, their transfer/caesarean statistics and their philosophy of care. They were all on the ball in that regard, so we just went with the one that my wife felt most comfortable with and connected to. Our OB was really nice, we were with them for most of the first two trimesters, but we knew they would have nothing to do with our delivery and ultimately didn't want an uphill battle about having the kind of delivery she wants.
