Used Ghost Echo or Hardwire Supernatural.doctorpoopenstein420 wrote:celticelk wrote:How much reverb do you want? I love my Eventide Space, but if you're not a full-on ambience freak it might be a bit much (complexity, size, and price-wise). I generally hear good things about the Supernatural, the Supermoon, and the HoF.doctorpoopenstein420 wrote:I'm know it's been covered, but any solid reverb suggestions? I suppose something fairly simple, something subtle that i could use always on, but the capability for real fucking spacey ambient shit every now and then would be lovely. Definitely looking for something relatively inexpensive.

Have you seen the one on eBay listed with the 70 OR100? It's apparently a 2005 huddersfield but looked pretty slick.new05002 wrote:
Didn't you say that was the hardest build you've ever done, cloning one of those? I'd love to have something similar to sit atop the Naki, but there would need to be some delay in there as well somehow....
Hmmmm tube delay.... other than the TTE (tube tape echo) has one ever been made?

Echoplex EP1 but again going to shell that shit into oblivion.
Yea it was a difficult build. If I made it more like a mini head it would have been easier.

The idea of downloading tones to my pedal just kinda weirds me out. But alas, I've not tried out a HOF irl.
Appreciate all the input!

Mmmmmm echoplex, lovely tone but I'd wanna stay away from tape.new05002 wrote:Echoplex EP1 but again going to shell that shit into oblivion.

I could see that, that backside of a panel mounting bullshit would be nerve racking as one little slip up and the whole panel is fubar.

Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
Hahahaha, thats great. Hauling around a god damn giant plate verb. Need those authentic vintage tones. I guess the next step up is to haul around a fucking huge metal tank on a trailer with a speaker and mic in it. Leave it outside the venue but run the cables out to it and back. And then your set gets fucked up when some drunk dude is walking by outside and bangs on the tank.

But anyway, I have a strymon but the same applies to it as the eventide. Unless you are willing to shell out a lot of money, don't look because it has a lot of options and sound great. Otherwise I really liked the supernatural before I sold it to Skip. I have the super moon but I find myself using it less since I got the strymon. And the other guitarist in my band uses a hall of fame. He really loves it and doesn't think he will ever need another reverb.

Yeah I loved the Hall of Fame when I had it, and love the HoF mini that I have now. Kind of wish I had a full sized HoF again just because I like to tweak it for different situations, but I've got the Mini loaded with a nice TonePrint that I can live with and enjoy

If I had a studio, I would totally commission a Dunwich tube powered plate reverb lol.

I really need to get into that Vikings show. It's on Netflix, right?spawnofthesith wrote:Vikings and Game of Thrones are both badass.

Sucks about your work thing, but everyone fucks up sometimes.
I worked at a grocery store in high school that a kid got put on fucking notice because he took at least one shit at work every day instead of stocking the goddamn shelves.Bossk wrote:I like to poop at work.
Ghost Echo is hard to beat. I've become infatuated with the Subdecay Spring Theory recently - the room setting sounds all kinds of awesome. I will never be without a Ghost Echo, but I've been keeping my eye out for a Spring Theory to put on my second board.doctorpoopenstein420 wrote:I'm know it's been covered, but any solid reverb suggestions? Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
I worked at a grocery store when I was 18 and I was shocked by how fucking lazy everyone was. I would gather all the carts, stock the shelves, sweep the floors, clean the break room, compact the cardboard packaging and help someone else with their work and have half a day left. I got put on notice by the assistant manager for working too fast, because if the owners saw it could be done that fast, they'd make everyone work that hard and probably just fire half the people.t-rey wrote: I worked at a grocery store in high school that a kid got put on fucking notice because he took at least one shit at work every day instead of stocking the goddamn shelves.
So the lesson is...stock the shelves fast, then take a 20 minute shit.
