I was thinking about running that model t preamp pedal through a bugera 1960 infinium with 6550's as a cheap interesting take.

Save the money you'd spend on that preamp and put it towards a better amp.

Perhaps a little bit of "Across Tundras" would steer him in the right direction...

I will never support or recommend that band to anyone again. I went out of my way to be super nice and helpful and run the shitty ass sound system at the gig and all I get in return is being bitched out for "Fucking with his vocals during the show". Drove up to Godcity yesterday with Paul and demoed a bunch of dunwich pedals and also the original OKW, Shrine Fuzz, and QM.

Lots of fun, he has lots of really kool gear. We played out of those 6x12 cabs you may have seen in the HOF recording photos. Most of the stuff he demoed through a 50W JMP since it was a neutral amp to test things on.

He's a man who knows what he wants, and knows good tone. I like that.

Just remember "good" is subjective, I personally don't like model T's. Yes they are loud as piss but have found few people that can make them sound clear and articulate at "loud" volumes. I found that I much prefer Matamp / Orange style amps with BAX EQ's, much easier to dial in with alot more flexibility. So go out and try lots of different amps, you never know what might float your boat.
