I'm going to... echo... the thoughts of everyone else and say EQD Ghost Echo. Best reverb I've found for heavy tones.

As far as running two reverbs at a time, you don't need it for the Ghost Echo, but it can sound awesome. I wouldn't worry about that for the moment though, just stick to standalone units. If you don't have an effects loop, don't worry. A great deal of 'classic' reverb sounds came from people running outboard tube units in front of their cranked Fender Tweeds and Marshall 18 watters. It's an awesome sound. A lot of ilovefuzz'ers run their reverb pedals purposefully before their dirt pedals or in front of their dirty amps. It's a deep, washy sound that is perfect for dissonant music and heavy, clanging sounds. If you want pristine qualities, though, you will need to keep your amps clean, keep your reverb levels low, or install an effects loop.

Bossk wrote:Whats better? The ghost echo or supermoon chrome?

I found the Supermoon Chrome to be more about ethereal, deep, ambient reverb drones. Although the Ghost is similar, it is also bouncier and more dynamic. It is shallower, nastier, grittier, springier, and just generally a different sonic signature. They definitely cross lines here and there, but if you want a more versatile reverb then I'd recommend the Ghost. The Subdecay Spring Theory is also another versatile, compact, affordable reverb pedal that sounds stellar. It performs well under distortion, too. They all do.

Forgot a second cable so I wasn't able to run a dual rig but the Matamp on its own sounds so huge.

Best looking stack on the Internet.

Anyone have experience with the Matt Pike Dirty Hesher Lace Pickups? I'm thinking of getting those for my G-400.

They're stupid hot pickups. And very bass and mids heavy. You probably don't want one in the neck position. My friend was clipping the input of his RAT with his bridge pickup and it sounded fat and tubby... but also, broken? The clipping wasn't the desirable kind. Could've also been the circuit.
Good Deal List: bearbeams, pena_55, sonidero, greyscales, ChetMagongalo, xchristophex, Monkey Boy, krautrocker, osbornkt

The blue kind? :idk:

I was thinking with a white grill I'd have the invert of Conky's rig  Bass instead of guitar and white on black instead of black on white.

Maybe I'm thinking wrong. The kind that's on my Dirge combo- I think it's silver with black and blue? I dunno. Its a little darker than the pure silver Ampeg cloth

And that'd be funny if you had the opposite. Yin and Yang ahahaha

That doesn't sound too good, but thanks for the info. Youtube demos sound great (of course) but this is the kind of stuff I want to read before I spend the money.
