If I had my way I would likely live on that and Sammy Smith Pale.

Re: THE BEER THREAD(?)----->!!!
This is perfectly fair. I don't love a lot of Harpoon's stuff, but that and Long Trail were my Bud Lights in college. Harpoon's Leviathan series (which you'd probably hate) had far and away my favorite stuff by them. Rock Art has some very good pale ales and IPAs that may be a little more balanced, too.bigchiefbc wrote:I've had every single beer Harpoon offers, and I'm going to be polite by saying they've never impressed me. Long Trail on the other hand makes great stuff. I love their standard ale, the Double Bag, the Harvest and the Hibernator. I'll try out their IPA soon, it's been a while and I can't remember my opinion of it.pelliott wrote:Harpoon & Long Trail's standard IPAs may fit the bill for your English-style taste. Similarly, Green Man and Highland, but you may be too far north for them. Regardless, all quite good.

Also, speaking of Camo 40's, this is a thing coming to me in the immediate future:

After talking IPAs the past day or two I had to go buy some Hop Devil.

Sadly, no. I haven't seen much of it around here. That's basically been their ever-evolving double IPA recipe, right?

Re: THE BEER THREAD(?)----->!!!
Yup. It was less hop-forward, slightly sweeter, and very refined tasting. Smooth and drinkable, less of a hop bomb. Not to say that it was a lesser beer, just smoother. It'd be the perfect summer DIPA I think.pelliott wrote:Sadly, no. I haven't seen much of it around here. That's basically been their ever-evolving double IPA recipe, right?

rockin a Dale's Pale Ale by Oskar Blues. It's a good stand by. Nothing special but, it doesn't suck.
Something witty and/or prophetic here.
