A laminate neck WILL add strength. I think it's funny that they tend to get looked down upon but they should be way stronger than you typical gibson (el snapomatic) Style construction. Goddamn there are some nice guitars being shown off! That EGC, the teles, I love the glue/ filler/ whatever that is. Looks very cool!
Yeah, from construction (or even production) angle I think it's a hard concept to fault.
They are ridiculously thin. But also ridiculously fast.

The neck on my new Iceman is not a wizard profile, but I really like it. It's a 3 ply and is about identical to the necks on their jazz models in construction and profile.
Actually, its a huge reason behind my love that guitar. Its probably the best neck I've ever played.
