They're pretty much impossible to find. The Sonic Youth sig JMs both have black anodized guards but no rhythm circuit section but those are the only ones I've seen readily available beyond gold. Not sure what else is out there for JMs.

I couldn't even find a simple Tele guard in anodized black. Ended up getting the simulated ano guard from WD and it's alright but I finally called Kevin at EGC and had him craft me a legit anodized guard in brushed flat black. Should be ready any day now.

Well, a quick google search got me this : http://www.tone-guard.com/Tone-Guard%20Store/Fender%20Aluminum%20Pickguards/Tone_Guard_Fender_Aluminum_Pickguards.html
But they don't have Modern Player Pickguards :sadpanda:

Yeah, that place has a nice selection. I missed it somehow when I was searching. Wonder if they'll make you a custom guard via tracing like WD offers?

I know my buddy had a real hard time finding a black ano guard for his modern player too. Think he finally gave up.

Yeah, I'll contact them when I have a job that supports my pickguard wishes

Truth. That would probably work out to be a $100+ pickguard in the end lol. I got a good deal on the EGC-made Tele guard cuz I'd already paid an anodizing fee for a guitar I ordered so Kevin just kinda threw it in.

Showed it some love with a set of new Pickup Wizards (CBS-style), Staytrem bridge, Spitfire tort, fancy NOS witch hats and a set of flats.
It's a keeper!

Love it! Very nice indeed.

I'm kind of on the opposite spectrum. Went with the standard thin Warmoth profile and was like DAMNIT NOW I NEED ONE FOR ALL OF MY GUITARS WHY SO GOOD.

I second this. I love the feel of my Warmoth Baritone neck.

Thanks bud!!! Now that I've had it about a week and its had time to climatize I freaking love it! I put in a set of SD Black Winters a couple hours after that photo and before ever plugging it into my rig. The neck is absolutely amazing feeling, like a thinner gibson neck mixed with a tele, the fretwork is top notch, its actually pretty low weight which makes is super comfortable to play, but the biggest thing is it is completely balanced. Absolutely zero neck dive at all, I can place it where ever I want and it doesnt move. Which is weird cause I'm so used to supporting at least a little weight with my left hand while playing but this guitar doesn't require any left hand support, which decreases the speed at which my hand gets tired and allows me to play faster and complex chords are less straining.

TL;DR: IT FUKKKKKKIN AMAZEBALLS!!!! :yay:
