I then TRIED TO BE VERY CLEAR WITH WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR then, because being nice was clearly not working. The same mensa graduate then responded so very dismissively with "oh, just get that then." That just set me off. The rest is this absolute waste of of a thread.

I read all kinds of good advice like clean blend and you were still insulting people than in the end it seems you were doing for a synth sound. If that's the sound you are after buy a synth. No single sub $150 pedal is going to do that.
