I totes imagined you on a damn beach with that thing, just jamming some chill shit, with some fishes gently swimming in the shallow water.

Then the fuzz war and all the fish were killed by the vibrations.

Got my Jazzmaster back in action tonight with this maple neck. Got it off eBay for cheaps, its from a 2003 Fender Strat. Had to clean the neck pocket quite a bit and get out 2 layers of paint that had been applied to the neck pocket so I could get the neck to sit nice and flush. HUGE, DRASTIC improvement in the action after the paint was scraped out, the paint was acting like a giant shim because of it's thickness. Completely IN LOVE with this neck. It's got the same shape as my Jaguar's neck, super comfortable, great quality. It's set up for pretty low and easy action which makes it a great player. Almost ZERO fretware on the neck which was even more killer. I'd always wanted a maple-necked Jazzmaster, finally my dream has come true!

That's such a weird beast... Strat necks rule but I has rosewood fever... Definitely a player for sure though...

Yeah it's the weirdest guitar ever, from the pickup configuration and how they interact with each other, to now the maple fretboard, along with all the cosmetic stuff.
The pickup wiring is awesome in that you've got a standard jazzmaster neck pickup, and then a humbucker, but in the middle position they go out of phase so you get this almost cocked wah type sound with a lot less bass that sounds KILLER

Hahahhaha what's even worse is I can almost recite every single pedal that I've traded and every amp I've sold and what's replaced it all. THAT is bad, especially if I can't remember what I had for breakfast this past Tuesday

Honestly though between this Jazzmaster and my Jaguar I'm now incredibly happy. I wanted to get the Jazzmaster working again because it was killing me having the body sitting in the corner. I think eventually I'd like to take the plunge and get a Jazzmaster sized WRHB for the neck pickup and then call it a day on that guy

dude that looks sick! I really want a maple necked jazzy. The headstock looks kind of strange but it definitely fits with the cosmetic madness
I really like the finish and profile on those MIM strat/tele necks, really comfortable IMO.

Yeah if I got a Tele I would put a Bigsby on it and do something stupid like have a regular tele body routed for a WRHB in the neck and something like a gold foil in the bridge with just a 3 way switch and a volume control like always
