Re: The Confessions Thread
i'm in a really weird state of mind. the uncertainty about the potential job is making me quite miserable, but i'm trying to work with/through it rather than be overwhelmed. still i'm all unsettled and shit. the interesting thing is that, perhaps as a side effect of the quiet agitation, i seem to burp up lyric ideas whenever i'm somewhere quiet and relatively undistracted. i got half a song from a drive around the north suburbs for cigarettes and distraction, and a chorus for a different idea from having a smoke on the back porch. and the lyrics are FINALLY starting to come in short telegraphic bursts rather than the long, wordy style that most of my songs are written in. i just wish i could work when i'm NOT all disturbicated.

Re: The Confessions Thread
I compiled a playlist of nostalgic tracks from my youth and teenage years...it is riddled with SNFU, The Distillers, Misfits and JFA. I really used to think I was "punk".

It was one of those lies that you THINK you have in the bag. You THINK everyone will believe you, but oh, how wrong you are. A couple of years after the incident, it dawned on me and I felt so stupid.
I pretended to pass out once when hanging out with these two trailer park chicks. We had all been smoking and I know they both wanted to fuck, but I was afraid one of them had an std because I knew they got around. I was on the floor, pretending to sleep, when one girl shook the fuck outta me for a few minutes. I mumbled a few inaudible words, she left and they had sex with each other on the living room couch. At least I had a clear view from where I was lying. Fucking weird situation. The next day in the school courtyard before class, the girl that had shook me grabbed my cock and I told her to piss off. She then spread rumors I was gay which wasnt hard to believe as I often wore midriff shirts and fishnets, girls clothes and makeup. Fun times.
You did that out of necessity, though. I did it because I wanted attention.

I realized today that I'm totally happy with just a holy grail, modded MT-2 and a DD7 as a pedal board...

I hate when the bonus tracks on a record are remixes.

Hey! Let's talk about serious thing. We're gonna talk about guitar, dude.

I hate it when bonus tracks are a ballad the band is ashamed to list as a real track

I love when they are a totally self-indulgent 20 minute instrumental track.

Yeah bro. I read an article in mens health (dont know why I was reading that ..it was in the bathroom) it said masturbating lowers testosterone levels and decreases cognitive function. Also your voice will get deeper after awhile but I havent noticed anything yet. But I do feel alot better. More willing to go out and socialize. Motivation to exercise.

Except it's an actual listed track that's just at the end of the album.
